"Wonderful stay in a lovely old building, very good big room. Stairs were interesting but as they were several hundred years old and the staff were good in helping with our bags it added to the fun!"

"We had a lovely time here. The staff are all really friendly. I brought my little dog along as its dog friendly & they gave him some treats too. Had a great nights sleep, really comfortable & quite. The breakfast was great all you xan wat for £10 well worth it. Also there is a takeaway van in the car park which sells Kebabs etc so perfect for a Chicken Shish 🐔 👌 "

"We only spent one night here but our room was warm, comfortable and spacious. There was a good choice for breakfast and the staff were all friendly. We would definitely stay again and felt it was great value for the standard. We stayed in a courtyard room but the outside was not really in use at this time of year so cannot comment on any noise"

"Nicely furnished room, comfortable bed and excellent shower. All staff friendly and accommodating. Wide range of dining options for dinner, breakfast a great spread available and recommend the breakfast bap. Tiny minus point, my wife’s eggs Benedict had overdone eggs. Would definitely revisit. "

"Fantastic pub perfect for a romantic night away. Run by a fantastic team we had such a warm welcome which is an LGBTQ couple is always a lovely. Food was great, room was beautiful and of course the building really is something special. "

"Such a magical place to stay for the nearby town. All of the Harry Potter filming locations were awesome to see and the town was so chill. There was something very D&D about checking in with the bar keep to get a room at the Inn above the pub. We absolutely loved staying here, and everyone was extremely kind. "

"A very pleasant stay. This is truly a country pub with a lovely atmosphere. A wholesome breakfast was supplied by Will. We ate in the Restaraunt on the first night which was superb. Would recommend 😀"

"We stayed in one of the yurts there are 2. The check in instructions were very clear. The yurt was cosy especially when we lit the fire (wood provided). We had a great nights sleep. "
