I stayed in Chisinau for 6 days and each day was different. The hotel is really a set of apartments , so don't expect your typical hotel services.Other than that , it's a good place to stay .A special mention has to go to Juliana , the receptionist , who will go out of her way to be of assistance .All the staff I encountered were friendly , though not all spoke English . The communal areas leading to the apartment I stayed in leave a lot to be desired but the apartment itself was large , clean and well appointed . It's close to bus routes and if you prefer walking it isn't too far from the main shopping area .There are 2 good cafes within a few minutes walk and Parcul Cathedralie is close by .Chisinau is a vibrant , emerging city and I'd definitely return to both the city and the hotel . Just one thing to add , make sure you can access Google maps .... not all streets are signposted so it's easy to get lost if you're visiting for the first time .
WE COULD NOT STAY IN THAT PLACE. IT WAS NOT A HOTEL,IT WAS A RUNDOWN APT.BLDG,HAD CONCRETE STAIRWAY,PEELING PAINT,METAL SHUTTERS ON WINDOW,NO RECESPTION AREA ANDBAD AREA.THIS SHOULD BE OFF YOUR LIST. NO ONE SHOULD STAY THERE. WE CHECKED OUT AFTER 45 MINUTES AS BED WAS LUMPY, NO SEPARTE SHOWER OR SITTING AREA AS DISCRIBED. JUST UNSUITABLE. SHE CHARGED US ONE NITE WHICH WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK AS IT WAS NOT AS DISCRIBED. HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOUR COMPANY EVEN THOUGH I WROTE 2 WEEKS AGO.JOANNE PRESTON TRAVEL AGENT
This hotel is really a series of apartments, with the main office and 'desk staff' located in another apartment, but that didn't prevent them from offering excellent service, accommodating my very early checkout, and doing a great job scheduling a taxi pickup exactly where and when I wanted it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and my room was very well appointed with plenty of closet space, a big comfortable bed, and a huge flat-screen TV. Also decorated with much more style and character than typical hotel rooms, which really do all look the same. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chisinau.
The location in the City-center i perfect, but the building, surroundings and service are at best poor. Highly overrated price for the hotel - not to mention the overpriced, yet never refilled minibar.

Prestige Hotel Review
There is no a Lobby and desk at the hotel. Each time when service was required we had to go to appartement (like a ofiice in nearest building). The towwels were not replaced every day,and the food paltes also were not cleaned or replaced by the hotel service crew.
Don't be disappointed by the first impression - from outside. The rooms are actually really nice inside and clean. Comfortable bed and big TV. The location is also good.
The hotel is an old apartment block where the apartments have been refurbished to an exceptionally high spec. The area is very central (even allowing for Chisinau's relative small size) and yet the apartments are set back from the main street in a courtyard and so are peaceful. Electrically operated blackout blinds keep the sun and burglars out but can be opened to enjoy the balcony. Relative to prices in local bars, the minibar was extremely pricey, but is still not overpriced by non-Moldovan standards. The bathroom is a joy to use, with separate shower and bath and there is a lounge area in the room.
Area diid not look promising as rear of hotel was very run down but the rooms were amazing and location within 5 minutes walk of shops. bars, parks and restaurants. Reception was another room and staff may appear grumpy but super efficient and everything they told us would happpen, did happpen, on time.

convenient hotel for Chisinau
Entering the hotel involved climbing through scaffolding (which was taken down by the time I left) into a run down looking courtyard, & entrance to my specific apartment was via a very unlikely looking door from the courtyard that looked like some utility unit ... however the apartment itself was very pleasant - a lovely oasis within & the courtyard in reality was very safe and characterful.
Location was great - very central. Staff however didn't have any maps available & more or less said that they're in the centre & I should work it out myself from there ... (I walked to the lovely 4 star Hotel Codru a little later & got a good map from there). Similarly they had no information re wine tours or anything else to do & had no suggestions on how I find out more from anywhere else (again I found out from the Hotel Codru).
Price was ok for Chisinau - not cheap but quite a bit less that the Hotel Codru.
I arrived early (c.09:30) & the room was ready & indeed shown to me, however I was told that I'd have to pay their hourly rate to check-in prior to the agreed 12:00. I asked if I could instead just leave my bags & was told first that I could leave them in reception; as I started negotiating the stairs again with my luggage the staff member took pity on me & said I could leave my case in the room - I did this, went for a walk, sat out in the lovely park nearby for an hour & went back & checked in. Not a big deal but just seemed ridiculous & unnecessary.
I can't speak for all the rooms but I can say for certain that rooms 31 and 33 were great. I didn't expect that the rooms in a hotel situated in the back of a building would be so nice! But they were fantastic. The rooms were clean and very spacious. Each room had a large bathroom with both a tub and a shower, a small sitting area with a couch, and a large comfortable bed. they also had metal shutters you could lower over the window to block out light at night. the staff there was also very helpful, although my wife speaks Romanian so I'm not sure how it would be for English speakers, but they were friendly and helpful anytime we needed it.

Ingen internet
This is not really a hotel, but a series of very nice apartments that are rented out as hotel rooms. They have an excellent quality, spacious and clean. The location is fantastic, only a block and a half to the main street of the city and with lots of restaurants close by. The manager was very helpful in arranging taxis for excursions and we were happy with these taxis. The only drawback is that the hotel is a little hard to find, because it is on the back side of the street, in the courtyard. There is a yellow "hotel" sign on the street, though.
