Pitchers House is a fine old Cotswold stone house fronting the Lower High Street, listed Grade 11 as being of special architectural and historic interest and dating from around 1750. The house is full of lovely period features, including a superb inglenook fireplace in the sitting room, stone mullioned windows, exposed beams, timber floor boards and stone flagged floors.
The accommodation sleeps up to 10 people and is arranged on three floors with gas central heating.
The Ground Floor:
The front door leads down to a stone flagged Dining Hall with a large oak table, seating 10, and into a Sitting Room with an imposing inglenook, beams and a stone flagged floor. There is a large wood burning stove, three leather sofas and oak furniture.
A good-sized Kitchen overlooks the back garden with a flagged floor, double enamel sink and waste disposal unit, reclaimed timber kitchen units with hardwood work tops, a freestanding Fridge Freezer, integrated fridge, Dishwasher, Washer Dryer, and a four oven Aga cooker plus an electric cooker. French doors open on to a terrace and an enclosed garden. There is also a cloakroom off the kitchen with w.c. and wash hand basin.
A lovely old oak stair case leads to the first floor landing.
The First floor comprises:
The Master Bedroom with a four poster double bed overlooks the High Street and has oak furniture, fitted wardrobes and a TV plus an en-suite shower room with w.c and wash hand basin.
A second Double Bedroom also has views over the High Street with Jacobean oak style furniture.
A Bathroom with a freestanding, roll top bath, toilet and wash hand basin.
A Shower room with wash hand basin and w.c.
The Second floor with exposed roof timbers, sloping ceilings and dormer windows comprises:
A Double Bedroom with view of rear garden and beyond with an oak wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Two Twin Bedrooms overlooking the High Street with exposed roof timbers and oak furniture.
There is street parking available in the Lower High Street with a public car park not far away.
The back garden is enclosed and whilst we accept well behaved dogs for an additional cost of £50 per pet, per week or per short break stay, please contact us to check if you wish to take more than one dog.

Weekly bookings generally commence on a FRIDAY from March to November. To change the commencement day at this busy time of year will make an impact on our other bookings.
Short breaks of 2, 3 or 4 nights are calculated on a percentage basis (not a nightly rate) and are normally, only accepted from November - end of February, unless we still have availability closer to the commencement date.
A two-night break may be booked through this website. You will need to contact us for an exact 3 or 4 night price.
We do not accept a short break during the Christmas week but do accept a 3 or 4 night short break over the New Year.
