Wonderful ‘cottage’
Pinkney House is gorgeous, and in a great location on the High Street. They even had the Christmas tree up, which was very festive. We would definitely stay again.

Outstanding stay with great owners
Shared a pint with Steven and Kim was an absolute pleasure. My family of 5 enjoyed this so much, outstanding location, amenities were perfect, and chipping Campden was our favorite village.

Perfection!
Perfect location. Perfect furnishings. Perfect outdoor space to relax. Perfect number of rooms and bathrooms for our family of five. Perfect communication from Stay Cotswolds. Made for the perfect weekend getaway. Only negative is that we wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Fabulous house in a great town
We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this beautiful home. It is full of stylish touches and has everything you need for a truly comfortable stay, we loved returning after days spent exploring nearby villages and gardens. Lots of dining options in Chipping Campden as well as options for picking up something tasty for dinner at home. The owner was very helpful and we found Pinkney House a real gem and would highly recommend.

6/10 Okay

Nice house big disappointment
Sadly our stay was far from what we have planned. We have booked this house to have a restful weekend away from London. Unfortunately exactly the opposite happened: just right in the front of the house there was a village fair, with fair ground rides and diesel generators running from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening right in the front of the house. There was constant screaming, and unbearably loud music. A burger food track was parking right in the front of the house approximately 1.5 meters away, with its diesel generator emitting gas right into the living room and the bedroom. The house - despite how nicely done and pretty it was - was frankly unbearable. The village fair was advertised all over in Chipping Campden and the neighbouring villages way in advance. Despite this we have received absolutely no advance warning that this is happening. Would we have known this, we would have booked another house. After our complains they simply said they are not responsible for any noise generated outside the house boundary, as set out in the terms and conditions. Frankly there is a difference between some noise and a diesel generator and a fair ground rise…

In the Pink(ney)...
Don't be fooled by the neat, slim profile of the front of the house. Stepping in through the front door (at the side of the property) very quickly reveals the almost labyrinthine nature of this fabulous residence, provoking an instant 'Wow!' There's so much space that, should you occupy all three bedrooms, there's still plenty of room to spread out and enjoy all that Pinkney has to offer. The large kitchen proved to be the central hub of our stay with - even in the last throes of warm summer days - the Aga an extra treat as darkness fell. Using the classic oven to cook with provided extra fun for us, as Aga novices. Pinkney is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a great Cotswold sojourn. The cinema system will also keep everyone entertained, should you decide to eschew the many delights of 'Chippy'. The house is located at one end of the lively High Street, making it an ideal location for popping to the shops, nearby pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants and charming Court Barn museum. Better still for dog owners and walkers, the fabulous countryside fronds the town, with delightful walks over to nearby Broad Campden and Dover's Hill just two bucolic highlights. The village is super dog-friendly, while Pinkney's cute courtyard area at the back provides the pup with a safe outdoor space too. The owners had thoughtfully left biscuits, poo bags and a placemat for our spaniel, so expect the same for your pooch. Given its beauty, Chipping Campden is a popular tourist destination on most days and, during the height of harvest, the High Street can also experience a variety of farm vehicles hustling through. However, by early evening all the traffic had gone, allowing quiet to return. I always think the mark a place leaves on you, is by the answer to: 'Would I want to live there?' In the case of Pinkney House and Chipping Campden, 'Yes, in a heartbeat!'.
