Amazing Home & Village
Beautiful historical home located in most beautiful village in the UK! Centrally located near grocery stores and restaurants. Numerous foot paths that direct you through picturesque landscapes. The hosts were so kind and not only provided immediate response when needed but also provided locations of restaurants and pubs. Wonderful amazing experience and will be returning!!!

Tough to review
This property is difficult to review - as it is a 600 year old house it definitely comes with quirks BUT there are things that could be improved just by tweaking service.
Cons-
- the carpets are very stained and dirty
- power wasn’t working when we arrived, needed to flip the breaker. If you have too many lights on the breaker will flip again so watch that
- no hand towels in any of the rooms, only bath towels. Not a huge deal but when you have to leave the bathroom to find a towel it can be annoying
- washer/dryer has a VERY weird smell.
- the whole house feels “damp”
- wrong house info for internet access etc
- communication with owner is spotty. Asked for laundry detergent but did not receive it
- if you are not young and able you would not be able to handle those stairs!
Pros -
- omg the neighbourhood is amazing. Out of history and just gorgeous (but be prepared that there is a pub here and that’s about it. No groceries, nothing).
- the character of the house is a trip. The floors are all uneven and creaky. Cool
- it’s a once a lifetime experience that I’m glad I did but wouldn’t do again.
- my boys loved the house bunk bed loft thing
- really close to historic old villages and Bath

Idyllic Location
Beautiful cottage in a very idyllic location almost like stepping back in time. Parking was a bit of an issue and the stairs are something to behold certainly not for the elderly or infirm. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Historic quaint house in a beautiful village.
What a truly idyllic spot to spend Easter week with the family and our 2 little dogs. Very comfortable beds with all the amenities you need. We all slept very well as it was so peaceful and quiet. The house was clean and had all the things you would need for a self catering holiday. The Castle Inn pub across the road was superb. We ate and drank there many times. A truly relaxing stay. A huge thank you to the owner for being so helpful and kind.

Beautiful house in a beautiful village. Stay in a little slice of history.
We loved our stay at the Old Court House and very much will look forward to a return visit to this stunning property. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The broadband was intermittent during our visit however I think we can pop that down to the weather. A lovely place for a winter break with a cosy log burner.
Castle Combe itself is a beautiful village with a couple of nice pubs for lunch and or dinner. There are a lot of other tourists visiting this iconic village however the best part of staying is seeing this place unspoilt in the morning before there are cameras everywhere.
The only pointers for this property would be to be cautious with the stairs. As with all old properties the stairs are an adventure in themselves and anyone less than sure footing may struggle. The fourth double bed is also up a little ladder for the more agile members of your party.
If you get an opportunity to stay in this beautiful property I'm sure you could not be disappointed.

Amazing, beautiful. 10/10
Stunning house in a beautiful village.
We had an amazing time staying in this area. Perfect place for base while always heading into bath and other surrounding areas. Brilliant walks around this picturesque village and everyone is very friendly. We are already thinking about when some of us will be coming back with our partners and will be staying here again. Kirstie is a lovely lady who is very easy to talk to and was exceptionally helpful when booking and planning this weekend. Would highly recommended to anyone.

As old as it gets!
Unique historical cottage in the center of a stunning village. Extremely comfortable beds and quality bed linens and towels. Well equipped kitchen with plenty nice mugs and glasses etc (no microwave unless we just didn’t find it)
Non existent parking so be prepared to leave car on the road leading into the village but this wasn’t a big deal for us. Loved having the wellies so kids could walk though the river.
All in all it was exactly what we wanted - quirky, old, historical and comfortable in a gorgeous setting.
Thanks Kirstie!

This home is a sweet treat!
This sweet little home was a delight! Castle Combe itself is a treat to visit, but to be able to stay in a period home like this with all the modern conveniences made it even sweeter! The home is well appointed and clean. The bedding was soft & the beds were comfortable. We were so sad when we had to leave! We even loved the quirkiness of the tiny staircase & slanted floors! It's all part of the Cotswold experience. Having a delicious pub two doors down and another across the street was also so convenient. We made this our home base as we explored the Cotswolds for 4 days. Our daughters see this as the highlight of our 2 week holiday in England!

We picked the best!
I was so happy when I found this rental and was just as pleased when I stepped inside. It was perfect. It was obviously an old building renovated so yes, the stairs are steep and slightly treacherous and my tall teenage boys bumped their heads more times than they liked but we all found that part of the charm (yes, even my three teenage boys fell in love with this place). The home was elegantly decorated and luxurious and had modern amenities. The owner made her guests feel welcome with flowers and flameless candles greeting us and on throughout our stay. The beds had perfect bedding on them and were comfortable. Bathrooms had a fun and quirky design to fit into the older space but both bathrooms were up to date, were clean, and easy to use. We had extra towels, ate off beautiful English china, and our family was able to spread out easily. The only two flaws we had was the bunk was very high and hot with no circulation and the fan just didn't reach so the teenager that was supposed to sleep there had to bunk with another because it was so uncomfortably hot. The second issue was parking was limited and a challenge every time we left. The town was charming and we ate at both pubs in town, enjoyed walking through St Andrew and its cemetery, and appreciated the boots provided to wade in the picturesque stream. I would eagerly recommend this home to anyone staying in the Cotswolds.

Idyllic location, beautiful cottage
The Old Court House is full of history and character, and is furnished with style and quality fittings and furniture. We really enjoyed the long weekend we spent there. However, the stairs are not for the feint-hearted! It is perfectly located right in the village next to two eating places, and we loved our special dinner for my husband's birthday at the Manor House.

A beautiful house in a beautiful 'chocolate box' village
Had the most wonderful few days in this outstanding, well equipped 'tudor house' in the Cotwolds. Plenty of room for us 4 adults and 4 children, with Castle Combe as a great spot to explore the surrounding villages, with Bath only 20 mins away. We also did one of the local Castle Combe walks into Ford which was great fun too !!! Two lovely pubs/restaurants in the local area serving great food. Would definitely recommend this lovely home to anyone looking to explore the Cotswolds.

Lovely cottage, nice host
Cottage is charming. Village how you imagine a Cotswold village to be. Comfy beds, lovely sofas, well dressed cottage. My parents didn't like the tv issue (chrome cast). And the poker for the fire was missing. Apart from that all very nice. Thank you!

Wonderful family time at most charming home!
I have spend 4 days at this lovely house at castle Combe with my family and some friends. We were 2 couples with 3 children aged 10, 9 and 8. And we had an amazing time. The house is located in one of most beautiful towns in Cotswolds and was perfect for our needs. The house is an old house but has been renovated keeping the old style flavour. 2 very comfortable double rooms for the parents and 1 for the children .The modern kitchen is fully equipped to cook evening meals that we enjoyed in the comfortable dinning room. If you want to have a proper experience at Cotswolds I certainly recommend staying here. The people in the village are also super friendly !
Tsk Kirsten!,,, see you next time !

Stunning! A wonderful experience. Highly recommended .
What a fantastic house and what a wonderful host Kirstie is. This was an 80th birthday celebration weekend focusing on a banquet style dinner . What a stunning success! The house is beyond beautiful, the overall quality is exceptional (goose down duvets, 5* linen and towels so fluffy that they make me want to chuck out all the ones I have at home).
Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. 150% fantastic! Thank you Kirstie, you were wonderful and so helpful and friendly when I had questions . We had a weekend we will never forget!
One tiny p.s .........please could you put a couple of mixing bowls, wooden spoons and a measuring jug in the kitchen please and a small microwave would be a blessing. Cooking meaningful food was a bit tricky, but then I guess most folk don't want to...... on the othe hand, it is advertised as 'perfect for entertaining' which it absolutely is.

Magical Christmas at Castle Combe's Court House
Our family holiday in the Court House of Castle Combe was definitely a memorable experience for everyone. The historical settings created such a magical atmosphere to spend the Christmas with a big family. The court house itself was more spacious inside than we had expected, and ideal as such for bigger groups travelling. Both the village, as well as the local people were all so nice and welcoming. I would recommend a stay at the Court House for everyone - it is an experience one will not forget!
