"The hallway was a little dated some area needed to be painted the pool was clean and their were towels for guests, the room was clean bed was immaculate and the mattress was fine, the breakfast was minimal and seating area to eat wasn’t set up for guests maybe 6 chairs out with 2 tables"

My stay was rather comfortable however, I do feel that staff need to be a little more courteous, show a smile, ask if there is anything else that we need, etc. Costumer service is very important for one to choose if we come back or not.

Not much fine dining (or fast food choices) or shopping in Chinle, but it is close to Canyon de Chelly National Monument.

The city is not very clean and the houses are partly disintegrated and in poor condition. The advertisement for the Thunderbird Lodge is not well placed in front of half-ruined houses.
