Welcome to Captain's Rest - a Brand New Luxury Townhome located on Marsh Island, directly across the Channel from Chincoteague Island. As you take the exit for Marsh Island from the Causeway, you'll feel like you're pulling onto your own private island. With only a handful of homes here, you'll love the peace and quiet that Marsh Island offers. All the festivities of Chincoteague Island are mere steps away, but you return to the sweet serenity that only Marsh Island offers. This tiny Island was formerly a Harbor for Commercial Fishermen that was converted to Waterfront Homes. At Captain's Rest, take in Bay Views that are simply stunning - 360 degrees of Water Views of the Chincoteague Channel, Historic Main Street, the Bay, Marsh, and of course THE most incredible Sunsets to be found.

Captain’s Rest sleeps 7 in luxury and style. This lovely End Unit Townhome is decorated with a tasteful Coastal Flair that will leave you wanting more. Situated on the Water’s Edge, you’ll enjoy Fishing and Crabbing right in the backyard, and Boats Slips are coming for Summer 2020! Park the car, kick off your flip flops in the Foyer, and let the fun begin!

Relax in the gorgeous Living Area and enjoy Free WiFi, Flat Screen Cable TV, luxurious Furnishings, and of course, those Views, after a fun-filled day exploring Assateague National Seashore. The Open Floor Plan is perfect for spending time together without ever feeling crowded. Dinner with a View can be had every precious Vacation Day in the beautifully decorated Dining Room. And the Chef in your family will adore the Gourmet Kitchen with Gleaming Granite, Custom Tile Floors, and Stainless Appliances. Well-Stocked with all you need, mealtime will be anything but a chore. Slip out to the Furnished Balcony to watch Herons, Egrets, Dolphins, Turtles, and more, or watch the Scallop Boats return with their harvest. Beautiful views just had a great time there with every convenience check in was so easy I would rent this property again thank you so much.

Beautiful condo, very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Only a couple suggestions-add a TV to the double single room and put garbage cans in all bedrooms. Really enjoyed out stay.

We had such a wonderful time at Captain’s Rest! The house was not only beautiful but also we’ll equipped - we were so impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was as well as all of the children’s books and toys. The property was clean, the location was fantastic and our whole group had a wonderful time - we’ll definitely be looking to stay here again in the future!

Perfect Getaway!
We had the best time at Captain’s Rest! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and super clean. Our favorite part was the amazing views from all the decks. We saw dolphins and all sorts of wildlife every morning and evening. We would love to come back! It’s a gem!

We loved our Mother’s Day weekend getaway. It was the off season and we ended up in a Terrible storm. The house was perfect for us. The only downfall was the fans not working in the two bedrooms.

Wonderful stay. Condo was immaculate. Beautiful sunsets and out of the way of Chincoteague traffic. Highly recommend! our stay was a little late in the season so many activities and restaurants were Shut down. Will come a little earlier next time

Our townhome lived up to its description and then some. It was sparkling clean. We like to cook and eat in and It had the best equipped kitchen of any condo/townhome we have ever rented. Location-wise it was close to everything we wanted to see and do.

Convenient location
House is nicely appointed and faces the water with a sitting balcony. It sits on a peninsula so its quiet. Must walk up the stairs to living area and more stairs to bedrooms. Linens and paper/cleaning supplies were skimpy and the cleanliness could have been better.

Peace and quiet
The condo was very clean, well equipped with comfortable furniture and beds. There are a lot of stairs so it might be difficult for some to manage, but once in the living room the view of the water is lovely. The wildlife refuge is well worth visiting, and it was so nice to see a completely unspoiled beach on Assateague.

Beautiful views & property
This was our first trip to Chincoteague and Captain's Rest was a beautiful property for us to enjoy the community and views. We loved getting to see Main Street from almost all the windows in the house and enjoyed the home, too. It's well stocked with almost everything you could need. Our 3-year-old loved the toys in the "playroom" as we called it, and we all appreciated the beach chairs for our day trip to the beach - where we even got to see some of the famous ponies. Plus, the home had good Internet connectivity for those few work calls we had to take and of course, for streaming TV. We can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful Island Views!
The home is located on Marsh Island, a quick drive (or boat ride) to Chincoteague. We loved the views on the water and of downtown and made friends with the cats and ducks that roam the island. In addition to the views from the many windows and decks, the house is stunning. There are three large bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a bonus reading nook with a small pull-out sofa. (The nook has its own bathroom and door.) The house has everything you could want in a great location.

Beautiful, sparkling new property
Wow -- we had high expectations for Captain's Rest, and this place met them and then some. Everything is neatly appointed and the kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful wrap around windows, a view of the town Christmas tree (we went in December), and just 15 minutes drive to Chincoteague refuge. One thing we didn't consider -- we planned to bring our own linen, but realized the two main bedrooms at the place have king size beds, and we don't have a king size bed at home, so we had to pick up some sheets last minute at Target a few days before. Kite flying on Tom's Cove beach is recommended!

Beautiful Location
This is a very beautiful location. Unfortunately, one of the beds is without a cover, which we didn't realize before arriving. There were a few blankets in the closet which we washed ourselves since they were not clean upon arrival to use since there wasn't a cover. There was a smell when we arrived, like cigarette smoke, but I also did a bit of a clean up when we arrived to get the place smelling better. This home doesn't come with coffee, or anything extra, like most other properties (and we have traveled extensively throughout the U.S.) we have stayed in. We had a few issues we needed to communicate with the management office, and they were very responsive. But, it is an absolutely beautiful location, and the views are just the perfect getaway. It is a place to fall in love with despiter the few hospitality issues.
