Place looks good from the the pictures so was expecting a great stay. However, this place will nickel and dime you for everything and not worth it.
I asked for a glass of water to go with my meal and they charged me for it on my bill without telling me. They also never cleaned my room once during the 6 night stay or inquired if I needed new or clean towels or bed sheets. No hot water in any of the rooms, which wasn't terrible because the weather was hot, but would be nice to have hot water as an option. Also, they will not give you towels for the pool but will "rent" towels to you for $5.00.
The only decent thing about the place was the food but I stopped eating there after being overcharged. Also don't expect to use the "pools". 1st pool is above ground and extremely small. 2nd pool is a dirty kiddy pool that was about 2 feet deep and size of a hot tub.
On the weekend the entire hotel turns into a local hangout with locals sleeping on the couches and hammocks & taking over the pool/lounge area all weekend. There were cars lined up in the single entrance way and you could barely get by. I had to walk in the bushes to get through all the cars from locals, which maybe 1 out of the 10 families squatting there actually had a room.
Luckily, I had friends staying nearby & spent the entire time at my friends' places which were much more friendly and accommodating. I only went back to this dump to sleep. Would not recommend to anyone especially for such a high cost.
Loved the staff, food, location, amenities! What I found is most places don’t have hot water for showers. But water wasn’t ice cold. Pool and ocean were nice and warm and the air hot so all in all it worked. Owners were so kind and very friendly. Get the translation app on your phone if you don’t speak Spanish!
