Beautiful property and spacious living space. The tropical environment made us feel like we were in the heart of the jungle. The staff consistently went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met.

We arrived at the hotel late and were greeted by a friendly young gentleman. He quickly checked us in and showed us to the room. this was where the pleasant bit of the stay ended. After we were left in our room we found the air conditioning didn’t work at all well however there was a fan so we would survive. Normally I would have gone to reception but this was now shut as after 11pm. I have never seen a dirtier bathroom, no effort had been made to remove even the leaves and debris from the bath and the mould was horrendous. We did not shower whilst there and made the decision we would not be extending our stay here as originally planned. the bed sheets had some ominous looking marks and the flu net smelled horribly so we didn’t want to be under it. All in all we could not wait to leave the hotel the following morning. During our short time there we did not see any other people so perhaps this is the down season - either was no excuse.

Pleasant, quiet surroundings and nice pool, but I wouldn't rate this a four-star hotel. Service was far from professional (towels left on loungers for hours and coconuts left on tables overnight; items used from minibar not replaced by next day; things left in odd places in room after cleaning), and the food menu was limited and definitely not spa cuisine. I would also have liked some information on Chiang Mai and a local map in my room, as well as a menu (they say they do room service). Very slow to clean leaves from and around pool. Had a slightly deserted feeling - perhaps they were short-staffed.

So beautiful and quiet. Only wished I had downloaded Uber sooner for getting back from old town...they tried to fleece you for the journey. Great spot, great service, and like minded guests!

excellent value
overall the experience is great! yes its far away from the main tourist but isn't that what relaxing is about. This place is quite and peaceful. The food is on a different level and the staff will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable on the noise level. Theres the odd airplane that flies over and theres chickens near by that might get you up early. The chicken don't bother me because i'm an early raiser but the planes can throw the energy off at time. I still rank this ressort 4 stars because i find the value extraordinary

Wonderful stay away from the bustling city
The hotel is about a five minute drive to the city where the tourist attractions are such as the market and okd city. It was so nice to come back to our quiet, peaceful, and clean hotel after an exciting day. I enjoyed it so much my boyfriend and I bought four hr massages at the hotel's great spa. I can't wait to return. I recommend the Blue Diamond Jacuzzi Suite. Very large and comfortable with a beautiful view for an extrordinarilly afordable price. Buy the room with included breakfast as well. We ate there every morning due to the distance from the city, also their breakfast and staff is great.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Everything about the resort is wonderful. Even though it was not close to the Old City, it was so well worth it.

Hotel is good but a bit far away from city center and shopping malls areas.. Neighborhood doesn't make your feel like you are on resort.. However hotel has great service and good restaurant. It is more suitable for someone who wants to be away from city and stay in resort

Good spot in between the jungle and the town
At first we were a bit disappointed by the rosters next door but the staff managed to move us from Emerald room to Sapphire on the opposite side. Otherwise very friendly staff, very well organized New year eve by the pool with a band and nice swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and well designed with jacuzzi. Food was tasty and the breakfast was amazing with a wide choice available. They should nevertheless have some baby chairs as it is a bit challenging to feed them without..

Nice hotel. Great staff
We were 3 nights at this amazing hotel. It's situated 5 km far away from the town but it worthy!! The rooms are small bungalow around the pool and surrounded by the forest.

Nice spot with a view of the mountains.
At first I was not happy with the resort. The room was small, on the first floor, and it was nothing like the pictures on the Web page. After we checked in and got to the room. I approached the front desk and asked if there was another room preferably on the second floor because every time someone walked upstairs we could here. The manager said that they were booked up but the next day we could move to an upstairs room ( a villa with stream room, sauna, and jacuzzi) after we voiced our disapproval with the resort the staff was more than happy to assist us with any needs or desires. They took care of our laundry on short notice and recommended certain activities over others. We left rather pleased however the resort is not close to town so we had to get a taxi whenever we wanted to go anywhere. If you want to get away from everything and just relax by the pool or get a massage this is the place for you.

disgusted and frustrated
we checked in very late. when we got upstairs into the room and sat on the bed the bed was literally as hard as the floor. I asked to be changed to another room for another bed as I rented a villa. I was asked to please stay in the same room by the front desk. and I wasn't offered an explanation. there were many empty rooms I could see you cross into them. then when I opened up the bathroom the jacuzzi tub was filled with insects. it was very obvious that the room had not been used recently and rather than sprucing it up they just turned on the air conditioner prior to our arrival. I didn't sleep a wink had bad back cramps...we were so grossed out by the room that we didn't even open our bags we checked out first thing in the morning. I asked for a refund for the few days that I had paid and I was offered no refund and the cancellation policy was printed out from the hotels.com site and was handed to me instead of an apology or any kind of refund offer. I would never ever ever recommend this hotel to anybody.

Awful place, DO NOT STAY HERE!
Where to start! Worst thing for any hotel guest is a bed bug invasion as they are a nightmare to get rid of. It is disgraceful that a hotel which is this expensive can have a basic problem like bed bugs. Also an open roof bathroom which sounds pleasant but because it is poorly maintained (like everything else at Ban Sabai) it means the bath is constantly occupied by insects. The room we were given had a terrible view over construction site. The man on reception couldn't care less about these problems. Truly awful place. Also, don't go here thinking you're newr Chiang Mai, you're not. It's an uncomfortable 22km away.

Worth a visit, though a bit pricey
Nice little garden resort. Little villas situated in a tropical garden. The room is spacious and clean. The bed was clean but we found the mattress very hard. We were about to change hotels due to this but after mentioning it to hotel staff they added extra bedding and somehow transformed the mattress into something very comfortable. My only complaint is the bathroom. While it is kinda of cool because it is partially outside, the fact that there are large ants all over the place kind of takes away from the coolness of it. I actually couldn't use the toilet sometimes because there were ants all over it. Also the toilet seat was broken and kept sliding around. The room was kept clean and there were plenty of fresh towels, and water. The room had floor to ceiling windows and overlooked the pool.
