Realy great!
The surrounding area consists of regular Thai homes from which some families run businesses and shops where you can buy anything from soap to food or snacks. It's not in the city's center so you really get the feeling of visiting the locals when you walk around the area.
The city's center is about 10-15 minutes away with car, and sometimes the hotell personnel drives you there for free. Not because they have to, but simply because they are extremely nice. I would suggest you give them a good tip.
If you want to go to the city's center by tuk tuk or uber you should not have to pay more than 100-150 Baht.
The only drawback would be that the personnel can't speak English at all. My girlfriend is Thai so that was no problem for us. Also, this is not really a place for people who visits Thailand for short term vacation anyways, since it's far away from the popular tourist places. It's more of a stop by, for falangs doing the visa trip, or "long-term stay in Thailand visitors", which means you probably already know how to speak some Thai if you consider staying here.
