One of my favorite place to be, especially in the fall, is the Lavaux region, one of Unesco's world heritage site. The warm colours of the vine leaves, contrasting with the blue of the water and the alps is mesmerizing. There are so many paths leading from one village to the other, you can hike all you want and never get bored! And you can even have a sample of the locally produced wine on the way! #MyBackyard

"Cheap and very basic. Handy to find somewhere for £60 a night that has a fridge, mini kitchen. Underground parking cost extra. Breakfast was basic, not much choice. "This hotel was within walking distance of the train station. The hotel also provided a free local transport card. The hotel was in a quiet location and we had a great view of Lake Geneva from our room. There were plenty of good restaurants near by. The staff were always friendly and very helpful with any queries we had. Great breakfast buffet too. "
