"Even though it’s on the main drag, it’s very quiet and cozy. It’s within walking distance of at least 20 small restaurants. Wonderful hosts! Delicious breakfast! It’s hard to realize that about 80 years ago, tanks landing at Normandy rolled along these same streets. "

"Bâtisse ancestrale magnifique mais malheureusement les prestations et le service manquent de perfection pour un 5 étoiles et le prix demandé : attente au bar de 45 mn sans être servies, salle de bain très sommaire, madeleines signature en vente à 12 euros plutôt qu’être données, pas de voiturier, de as d’aide pour les valises, pas d’accompagnement à la chambre. "Our two night stay was nice. The staff was polite and a couple of them spoke English which was helpful. Our room was more than enough space for our family of five. The grounds were charming and close enough to everything. A quick drive into town, a walk would have been a bit far for the kids. "

"Lovely hotel. It’s very nice that they have a complimentary shuttle into town and a symbiotic relationship with their sister property in town, Le Normandy. Be sure to check out live piano music there on the weekend. Beware that they don’t speak any English at this property, which I found surprising for a four star. "

"Everything was great about this place. Super clean, right in the beach, and close to downtown and the casino. There was just one really odd element- I tried to buy a bottle of wine at the bar downstairs to take up to my room, and this seemed to be a big hassle. The bartender had to call some one to find out how to ring it up and the tried to give me 4 glasses- I can’t imagine it’s a foreign concept for someone to want a bottle of wine in their room. "

"The reason we booked this apartment was that they advertised baby cots, which I reserved and emailed separately to confirm. When we were arrived they confirmed a cot was set up in the room for us. However, there was no cot and one could not be found in the building. This was extremely inconvenient as we have a small baby with us."

Calm, quiet stay in beautiful surroundings.

"Beautiful hotel in a quiet location, with comfortable rooms and a very good sleep. We had a chateau room which was delightful and good value. Helpful and friendly staff, though we were caught out by the fact they don’t staff reception all hours, so you are supposed to let them know in advance when you’re arriving, if before 3pm. A few small issues: the bathroom had a bath with shower attachment but there was no high spot to hang the shower head, so had to hold it which makes washing hair very difficult. More than that, the handle was broken so the shower head just spun in our hands, and water went everywhere. Tricky to have a comfortable shower. Breakfast was not really good value for money; we’d recommend grabbing something in town."
