Your family will love spending their vacation on the water when you book this fantastic lakefront home - steps away from a private sandy beach that gently slopes into Loon Lake! Wake up to the sounds of soothing waves lapping against the shoreline and the call of the loon. A private dock, grill, fire pit and cornhole set are provided for your outdoor enjoyment. Bring a thermos while you paddle along the shoreline in either the two kayaks or canoe also included with the rental. Having been completely renovated in 2020, the open-concept living space features tasteful Stickley furnishings and Millspaugh Furniture/mattresses in the bedrooms. Beautiful floors and lots of natural light from large windows overlook Loon Lake. Enjoy your morning coffee on the large deck complete with an outdoor teak dining set and steamer chairs. The full kitchen boasts attractive countertops, stainless steel appliances, utensils and cookware you'll need to create something special for you and your guests. Your family movie night will be even better when you enjoy it with the HDTV and Sonos speakers. The high-speed 5G WiFi is more than ready to assist in streaming or Zoom calls for work or school. High thread count sheets and towels professionally laundered for your comfort.

Winter guests can spend time enjoying the nearby regional snowmobile trail or skiing the slopes of Gore Mountain Ski Resort, just 14 miles away. During summer months, you'll have over 105 feet of sandy shoreline to enjoy and plenty of lake activities to take advantage of. Enjoy fishing for northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and yellow perch on the lake or spending your vacation swimming out from the beach. There are also lots of nearby hiking trails such as Caroline H. Fish Memorial Trails and Stewart Mountain and Kipp Mountain trailheads.

One canoe and two kayaks are available for guest use (with life jackets). Please rent additional personal floatation devices from Loon Lake Marina for proper fit. Must properly wear life jacket when using canoe/kayaks.

Parking for four cars is available in the private driveway.

2 luggage racks are provided in each bedroom.

**Trash service is not available at this property. This property is located in an area administered by the Adirondack Park Commission. As with many remote homes in the Adirondack Park, this is a carry-in, carry-out location. Please take trash to the Chestertown Landfill/Transfer Station at 62 Landon Hill Road which is less than 4 miles away. We provide landfill permit.

Beautiful view and very nice house. Quality materials used when they renovated with detail given to all aspects making this house a great stay. Kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. Nice outdoor seating on deck and by the lake. The owner was very quick to respond to questions. Would definitely recommend and will come back if we are in the area. No need to look further.

This is our 2nd summer in a row at this same property We love it! The property has amazing views of the lake. It is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and my kids enjoyed fishing. A very peaceful and relaxing place! Would love to rent again for the next summer!

Vacation Spot
Terrific location for relaxing and spending time with family. Watching the moon rise from either the waterfront porch or fire pit patio was breathtaking. Small beach was excellent for young child and great for the adults to simply lean back and float along in the pristine water. We appreciated the meal seating, inside and out, that easily accommodated our group of 7 adults. The location was less than a 1/2 hour drive to Lake George Village. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful stay at this property.

Awesome property close to Lake George, NY
We rented this property in July and we could not have been happier with the experience. Amy was extremely responsive to our questions and so was the property manager Skyler. The house is exactly as described in the listing and more. We frequent Lake George and we were impressed with the quietness of Loon Lake. The water was warm and clean. We enjoyed using the canoe and having fires by the lake each night. Most nights, even Friday and Saturday, were very quite on the lake. The property is about 25 Minutes from both Bolton and Lake George Village. We found little reason to visit Lake George Village as the town center and Loon Lake had all we need. The house has ample space for two families. There are two bedrooms on the second floor and two on the first. Both floors have full bathrooms and the first floor has a half bath. Everything was neat and clean with very modern finishes. We enjoyed playing games in the living room and watching Red Sox games in the late evening. The bedrooms don't have TVs, which was mentioned in another review. We didn't see a need for it as there was so much more to do than watch TV in bed. The house has excellent Wi-Fi so you can stream anything you want in a tablet or computer in any room. One of the best family vacations we have had. The only thing we struggled with was the trash, which had to be brought to the local transfer station. We had to go twice before departure, but I fairness we had two families and ate most all meals at the house. The passes are included in the rental, but bigger on-site recycling and trash would have allowed for less trips. We were afraid of leaving any trash out of the bins as I am sure local wildlife would find its way into the bags. All in all this was the only things we felt could use improvement on a otherwise perfect property. I forgot to mention, there is a Weber Grill oj-site as well, which makes for awesome lake grilling. We highly recommend this property if your looking for a true Lake House experience. Thank you Amy!

Relaxation & Fun!
This was one of the most memorable experiences without having to jump on a plane, worry about all the airport chaos, and overweight baggage fees. The views, water, and home was beautiful. A private oasis for the whole family to enjoy. Less than 20 mins and you’re at downtown Lake George. However, Loon Lake is more breathtaking and you do not have to deal with all the crowds and terrorists. Would definitely book again! In fact I tried while being there for the 4th of July; no surprise was booked already. Thanks Amy for having my family and being apart of our memorable moments!

This house was perfect for our family's getaway. Some of skied during the day at Gore, just 20 minutes a day, while others stayed home and played on the frozen lake. The location was perfect. The house was clean and simply decorated--perfect for a young family.

Lovely Fall Escape
Our group of 5 adults had a wonderful, relaxing 4 days at this VRBO. The house is quite spacious, the appliances are updated and work well, and we made great use of the canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and SONOS speaker system. We wish there were beach towels (but perhaps we just didn't find them in the house) and we struggled a bit to figure out how to work the coffee machine, so maybe some instructions would be helpful! Wonderful location close to Lake George and Albany, and it was easy to access (within an hour drive) many hiking trails in the area!

Great property, relaxing vacation
My family has been vacationing by the ocean for years, this was our first vacation spent by a lake and it turned out to be the most relaxing time ever! The beach was on the property and when the kids didn’t feel like swimming, they went out with the canoe and kayaks. We were fishing, hiking, making s’mores, playing games,…it was wonderful. The home was clean, well equipped, spacious, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Communication with the property owner and manager was easy, fast and sufficient. We are hoping to be back again!

The house and property is beautiful. Extremely clean and well Maintained. Kayaks, canoe, dock, and lakefront fire pit all made the week perfect. The only advice I can give to make it better is cushions for the deck lounge chairs, and a comfy sectional couch would make it ideal. The furniture looks beautiful and is high quality but definitely not comfortable for a family to watch a movie at night. Other than that everything g was perfect and owners very responsive. Thanks for a great week.

Great week at a great property
I'm not easily impressed and always leave a genuine review of a property on any rental sites. This one was great. The place was very clean when we checked in and the pictures were a very accurate depiction of the house. We had 3 kids under 3, 3 in their 30s, and 2 people in their 70s, and were all happy with it. The beach area is great and after boating around the lake there really aren't many that equal it. It was perfect for the kids to walk right into the water and they had a blast playing in the sand. We used the kayaks and they were great, and while we didn't use the canoe I checked it out and it was a good one. We did have fun playing some of the board games which are at the house, many of which were literally brand new. The kitchen and grill were excellent for cooking, plenty of room to maneuver around in, and the 2.5 bathrooms was good for a group of our size. We ate inside half the time and outside half the time and both worked well, the deck is nice. I had a few concerns given other reviews, one of which mentioned the lack of comfortable seating in the living room area. We did not have any issues and can confirm the furniture is high-quality and expensive. I can understand why some people wouldn't like it because it is a hardwood Adirondack style, but it's definitely not cheap. There was enough seating for anything we needed to do. Another reviewer complained about not having enough TVs in the house, which was not an issue for us. We used the TV in the living room mostly for the kids before bed and the rest of the time we were outside or doing something together. It's a vacation, you don't need a TV in your bedroom. The owner and property manager are great and took care of the small issues we ran into very quickly, and went out of their way to be flexible with us. Things to know: Each bedroom has an AC unit that works well, but if it gets real hot you'll want to bring a fan to push some of the air out of the bedrooms and into the common area. It didn't get much above 80 for us but if the temps were really high it would have been hard to keep the whole house cool. Not a big problem but if we didn't bring the fans we would have been less comfortable. The couch is made of heavy, hard wood and our 1 year old banged her head on it a couple of times. Obviously that's not anyone's fault but we ended up tying some towels on the edges, which helped. If you're bringing a young kid you may want to plan for that.
