The situation is great - tucked away in a small complex - and right by the canalside which was beautiful on a sunny autumn morning, when we left. It is a short step up into the city. We were only 3 but there wasn't a pan big enough to cook that amount of food and we had to go and purchae a skillet to make a meal on the first night. I think it is a little under prepared if people actually want to cook there, which is a shame, as it looks great. We didn;t find a bottle opener: I mean for beer bottles, but we knocked on a neighbour who very kindly offered us one. First world problems I hear you say!
It was a luxury having two bathrooms and so it was a shame that in the separate one, the end of the whoer tap which was very hot, came off in my hands. I was trting to turn down the temperature which was very hot, but it seemed to have got stuck. In the end I used the other shower.
Look I want to acknowledge how lovely the apartment looks, but i have to include that it is not quite operational if you are people who want to use the property like a home from home, which we needed to on this occasion.
Care has been taken over decor and installations and the wifi worked brilliantly and I happen to love a soft bed, so it was great for me by myself! I think my friends wondered if there was the option to have twin beds as they didn't find the en suite bed quite roomy enough.
Pros: great location; perfect wifi; good lighting options; kitchen with all the machines (arrgh no caftiere)
