A mixed experience
Will preface saying I've never been to this house, so this is basically a review of the experience. Booked this property due to its location, more than 3 months in advance. Chatted with Lisa prior to arrival in order to extend stay by a day, so far without issue. 3 weeks prior to arrival Lisa messaged saying the property will not be available due to a heating issue. She offered a different property which (for me) was not located as well, but described it as a complete upgrade in any other way. Since at the time couldn't find anything better, I accepted, however in VRBO system the stay remained registered to this one. Arriving, things seemed well to start, Lisa helpful with check in and facilities. However it soon became apparent the house has no dryer in it. To clarify: Both original and the new property had a dryer listed in amenities, but Lisa confirmed there is none in either. As I came for 3 weeks and had clothes for around a week, and having no dryer in English winter was a problemLuckily I was able to locate a different place that was closer to the original location, and had a dryer. I made the decision to switch and asked Lisa for a partial refund.I have stayed at Lisa's property for 3 days out of 18, and she ended up refunding me about half what I paid, While this wasn't an ideal outcome considering the error in the listings and the property switch, I can say she's been very cordial and attentive in all dealings.
