"When we booked this place we spent months excited about it and talking about how cool it would be. And then we got there and it lived up to all of our hopes and more! "House and surroundings were lovely but wouldn’t sleep 17. We were worried we wouldn’t find enough to do but that wasn’t the case. However, Mele (the nearest town) was a little disappointing as most of the businesses were closed for a few weeks while we were there, in August but we had a lovely stay and the owner was very helpful."

"We had the most amazing holiday in this beautiful chateau. We were x4 families and the house was extremely comfortable with plenty of activities to keep the kids and adults entertained (table tennis, foosball, swimming pool, extensive grounds for football, walks etc). The swimming pool is beautiful and we were lucky with the weather and thankfully there is plenty of space indoors to retreat into when it is very hot outside! "I reserved this room because Expedia lists it as having AC. We stayed in Sept and there was no AC. Were told by the desk they turn it off in the fall. Expedia needs to specify this hotel may not have AC depending on the whim of the owner. Windows open with rain, bad weather, traffic and no bug screens. Pass on to another hotel with accurate description. "

"This chateau is nothing short of fabulous. The owner, Phillipe, is gracious and generous. The chateau itself is gorgeous and close to the small town of Evreux. I recommend going kayaking on the Eure river. It all makes for a relaxing respite from the bustling, overwhelm of Paris. Only one hour away by train, this place is absolutely a gem. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was."
