When you visit Cherokee, you may want a bit of solitude but you also may want to be close to downtown where a lot of the attractions are.

Poppy's Cottage is in walking distance to the Harrah's Cherokee Casino. At this location, you can hop on the 441/Parkway - The Great Smoky Mountain National Park or Blue Ridge Parkway within minutes. With a short 15 minute drive, you can be in downtown Bryson City or downtown Dillsboro.

What a lovely, bright space! Cozy and light, there is ample seating here in the lovely living room along with a flat-screen TV. Each bedroom is supplied with a smart TV. Pillows are goose feather.

Would you like to grab a cup of coffee on the deck in the morning? The covered porch would love to host you as you gear up for the day!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

Love the Location
My wife and I go to Cherokee every 3-4 months for the casino. We've stayed in properties all over the area, but we found this one on our last trip, in February. It is now the ONLY place we will stay. If you're a gambler who wants to stay off property, but still want quick access to the casino, this is the place. Less than a 2-minute drive to the casino.

Pictures do not do this place justice. Place is a lot bigger than what is shown on listing. Very, very clean upon arrival. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Cherokee.

Cherokee amazing stay
Cherokee hotels are very costly and most are very outdated and dirty! We go often to this area this place has a perfect location and it’s clean! You’ll be happy staying here for the same costs of the cramped musty hotels in the area! Only issue we had was the beds they need new mattresses they are super hard and slump. We loved our stay here for Christmas 🎄

Charming Cottage
Poppy's cottage is a perfect location, short drive to surrounding towns, inside was nicely decorated and very clean. Outside beautiful landscape but back deck and porch needed some attention, could tell the back deck and furniture had not to cleaned in months. Definitely reccomend this property.

Convenient to casino, Bryson City, and Maggie Valley
My husband stayed for a long weekend. We loved that it was a 1-2 minute drive to the casino (you could easily walk; it would only take 10 minutes or so, but it was cold) and 20-30 minutes to Bryson City and Maggie Valley. It was very easy to check in and out. I highly recommend staying if you are looking for a place in Cherokee. The cottage is much cuter in person than what is shown in the pictures.

Property was great. Location perfect as we were playing in the WSOP. 7 min walk to the poker room. Only recommendation is the beds need mattress pads. The mattresses are old and not very comfortable. Over all we loved the place and will book it again next year.
