"These houseboats are not the ones featured in the pictures. It was a different company from the advertised Northstar, it is rather Coco houseboats. The first boat offered to us was awful with no comfortable seating area and the bedrooms were dismal with dirty linen. We complained and were given a second larger boat with marginally better seating, however on inspection of the bedrooms we were appalled by the state of the bedroom. The sheets were grubby and there was no sheet between you and the blanket. There was 1 dirty towel to share between you and another person. The toilet was smelly and dirty. The food we were served was excellent and the staff were excellent. We couldn’t possibly have stayed in those bedrooms, so when the boat docked we left to find a hotel.The boat beared no resemblance at all to the advertised photos. Avoid this houseboat, there are far better available at a lower price point. "

"We stayed here as it was close to my friends wedding that we attended. We were happy to stay here for two night. It was comfortable for the duration of the stay. The staff were so lovely, and could t do enough for you. They brought a coffee and a chai up to our room. We would go back if we needed somewhere for a short duration in that town again."

"Comfortable room and nice staff. Food was very good, they had a buffet with a variety of different curries and you could also order from the menu for those that were not keen on curry so catered for all. I would recommend this hotel if you are travelling in this area "

"Very relaxing and beautiful scenery. The rooms are very modern and clean. There was a total of 7 rooms on board, so it was good to mix and chat to the other guests. The crew on the houseboat were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Always willing and happy to help. Food was excellent, but keep in mind there is no alcohol, as seems to be case everywhere in Kerala. We will happily come back again."

"Kerela houseboats is the middle agency for blue house boats. NOT at all worth the money looting customers, spent so much but was shared with 6 families not peaceful!..asked for towels said 1 room 1 towel(more like long napkins) for 4 ppl. Double bed not enough for 4 ppl, after insisting got the extra bed, not recommended for the money spent."
