"Beautiful Hotel, a safe refuge from the hustle and bustle of Chennai. Amazing breakfasts. Lovely toiletries. Tranquil. Luxury. Overall it was a great stay. My only criticisms are: (i) sometimes we didnt have enough towels or bathrobes, (ii) double check if you need something delivering as there was some miscommunication between reception and security, (iii) room walls are quite thin - was woken up by my neighbour receiving multiple phone calls and taking them all on loudspeaker. "

"A little haven in the bustle of Chennai and walking distance (30 minutes) to the main temple, but tuk tuks are plentiful although suggest you negotiate the price before you get in as we did get ripped off a couple of time (they are great fun though and a good way to get around). Lovely sized rooms; very clean and comfortable bed. We stayed in rooms on the south side of the hotel (on the left-hand side when looking at the hotel from the road) as there is a massive construction project on the north side, which I suspect would be very noisy - so perhaps enquire if you book. Very friendly staff throughout, and very helpful albeit a bit slow at breakfast. Very good food at The rooftop restaurant but you might need to book a table as they did try to put us inside! Rooftop also has a swimming pool but really not worth bothering with - looked very murky - but good views from there. "
