"We had an amazing visit to the heart of the Loire Valley. This is a beautifully renovated old building in the quaint old village of Larcay. A 2 minute walk to the river or an amazing little restaurant called Les Planchettes. Easy access to Tours and the many castles and vineyards in the area. It feels like travelling back in time but with all of the modern amenities. Thanks to Sylvain and Adele for everything, including the welcome bottle of delicious Vouvray! Highly recommended."

"We loved staying at this little apartment! It was a great value - clean, great features (but NO A/C FYI!), and 1 mile walk to town center. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in the summer though; we purchased fans that helped cool us down at night. Host was great but not as responsive as other VRBO experiences I’ve had (maybe it’s the more relaxed French way?)."

Very similar feedback to other reviews - noticed little things like some broken crockery and freezer door but this was no problem with spares and expected when renting a big house in summer. "Despite some unseasonal cold and wet weather and suffering from colds caught on the ferry from GB we really enjoyed our 2 weeks at L’Abeille Bleue. What made it so great was the warmth of our hosts Didier and Patricia, a most welcoming and generous couple. Didier was so concerned that we understood how the heating system worked (we really needed it!) that he came in twice to check that we understood it.
