"Lovely manager - very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in a suite which was beautiful. Me and 2 bridesmaids stayed the evening before my wedding in a family room. This was large and beds were comfy - pillows could be softer. We had breakfast delivered to the room and the charge waivered which was kind. "In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "As expected for an overnight stay. Paid Expedia rate for standard room so wasn’t expecting great, not was it. Very small dark room with small window overlooking back and extractor fans which were noisy. Bed - a double- not that comfy nor were pillows. Breakfast was ok. Parking £8. Hotel next to Spoons pub so a bit of late night noise. Wouldn’t make me rush to return to ve fair but it was ok. "

"Staff were all brilliant, couldn't do enough. The pool was a great addition and something to do in the evening with the kids as it is 20 mins drive from the city. Evening menu was quite limited but fine for a one night stay, food was good, hot and well presented. The only thing I would say is that the building is a little tired and could do with a revamp. But it was bright and clean and the staff were all exceptional."

"I had an overnight stay while I was in the area for business. The hotel is very nice. My room was a good size for one, and had everything I needed. The furniture is a little dated and shabby compared to the public areas of the hotel, but nothing to complain about. The pool is a good size. The gym is quite small and I imagine quite uncomfortable if too many people were using it at the same time. I did not have breakfast, but dinner in the bar was very nice."
