"We enjoyed our stay at Villa Marilena, Eleni and Marino are the most perfect of hosts. They really couldn’t have done enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The property’s location was perfect for us, we love Chaliotata village some nice places to eat and not far from Sami. "The size of accommodation is just perfect for families of all ages. Two doubles and three singles fits in 7 easily, we also had a toddler with us in one of the double rooms. "This unit is very clean, beautiful space, however the air conditioning, which was only 1 AC unit in the bedroom did not work. I was assured by Angie at check in that it would cool entire unit. It did not! It was 34c (93.2F) in the unit at check in, even running the AC for 6 hours never cooled below 30c (86F) in bedroom. Rest of unit was above 34c (93.2F) our entire stay. Owner solution was bringing us a fan. Owner said technician repaired AC. It never cooled. Was not repaired. Miserable...

"Amazing villa, by far the best we have stayed at. Spotlessly clean with every amenity we could have wished for. We enjoyed the huge shaded area which was perfect for chilling with a book or drying off after a swim. The local beach is very small but great for a swim or a snorkel. The directions to the villa were great and kept us off the rough tracks which a sat nav can take you via. We enjoyed the taverna at Avithos beach which has great food and lovely views. We definitely hope to return!"

"This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."

Great property in a pretty and peaceful location, just a short drive from wonderful Lixouri and beaches. As 5 adults we had plenty of room and 3 out of 4 bedrooms with en-suites was a luxury we hardly expected when searching for the villa. The only minor gripe would be fridge space. The standard fridge freezer was a little restrictive for 5 adults and would be inadequate...

"We (a family of 4 adults) had a great time staying in this is lovely villa, Its in a perfect location with beautiful views, just 5 mins walk from a lovely small sandy beach with plenty of great restaurants close by. Lovely pool which was cleaned during our stay. 15 min walk to the gorgeous beach with the choice of 2 tavernas..with delicious homemade Greek dishes.
