Well equipped two bedroom cottage overlooking fields of Northumberland sheep.
We were delighted to find the cottage provided all we needed and was comfortable and homely. The view from the back was relaxing and cottage a good position for the coast and any needs. We enjoyed meeting friendly Sam and her husband and found them friendly and accessible by phone for any concerns. This makes such a difference to have personal connection . We enjoyed the provisions they left Eg cake etc - I used the ironing board for a function so thanks for supplying that. We love northumberland and this area and we’ll be back I am sure!

Fabulous pre Christmas break
Myself, my husband and our cavapoo, Betty, spent four fabulous nights at The Bothy. We arrived in the dark and were greeted with a bottle of wine, nibbles and a huge chocolate cake - such a special welcome. The Bothy was warm and cosy and the double bed was the most comfortable and warm we have ever slept in - better than our own bed at home! We had some great days out at Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell and Newton and Betty just loved being on the beach. Our weather was good - no rain - and we ate out well during the day and made our own meals back at The Bothy in the evening - mostly snack type meals as we were still full from lunchtime. The facilities at The Bothy were all excellent - everything worked - and I didn't think of one thing that was missing. There was even a bag of doggy toys and a ball thrower hanging up in the kitchen. The garden at the back was lovely and I imagine it will be beautiful in the summertime. The view over the fields was magnificent and I want to be able to sit in the boat seat. I would not hesitate to recommend The Bothy to anyone wishing to holiday in the area. We loved it and would love to come back again.

Beautiful cottage in great location.
The cottage was warm and welcoming with everything we needed for our holiday. The accommodation was spotless and the owners had thought of everything. The welcome pack was very welcome, and tasty. The location was ideal for exploring Northumberland and the coast. Beadnell Bay was a very short drive from the cottage and was such a beautiful beach. We will certainly return to the cottage again.

Comfortable, clean, peaceful with views of countryside and sea. Well behaved dogs specially welcome
We immediately appreciated that the owners cared that we enjoyed our stay. They provided unexpected extras to delight and please us. We felt comfortable in this clean this and light home with its own patio/garden and marvellous views over the countryside and sea, with Farne Islands in the distance. It was wonderful to be able to sit outside in the evenings in the sunshine, waiting for a glorious sunset behind the fields beyond the cottage. In early July it stayed light until almost 10pm. We could not have wished for a nicer place to stay and we thank the owners for their careful thought, consideration and generosity in ensuring this was so.

A dream cottage in a fantastic area.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at The Bothy, from the warm welcoming, beautiful views, the number of great adventures just on your doorstep and the comfort of the cottage we wouldn't change a thing (apart from a bit more sun!) We cannot recommend this holiday cottage enough ( and have already told friends and families they need to book up!) we will definitely be coming back soon.

Small but spacious cottage - very dog friendly
Property was spacious and comfortable and every effort had been made to supply all we could want (and our little furry friend too). Some bits were a bit dated but the property owner is planning a freshen up soon.

Very comfortable, well equipped in a good location. About a ten minute walk to Beadnell beach.
Very comfortable accomodation, lovely welcome pack, wine, home made sponge cake and lots of goodies for our dog. Great powerful shower, just what you need after a brisk and breezy local walk. Lovely views to the rear of the property across fields and well set back from the road at the front. Very comfortable beds and kitchen well equipped. Local walks are wonderful, further afield there are so many places to visit, we went to Hadrian's Wall, a long drive but so worth it, Wallington a lovely NT house, Alnwick Garden, Holy Island. Great places to eat and everywhere so dog friendly. Despite very changeable weather we really enjoyed staying in this beautiful part of our country.

Lovely cosy cottage in excellent location.
A great little cosy cottage fully equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay. We stayed with our two kids aged 2 and 15 and the cottage worked a treat with its excellent quiet location which was perfect to explore the Northumbrian cost. Sam was a perfect host and met us on arrival and the provisions of cake, milk and wine were appreciated as were other little things like providing beach towels, which though we didn't use thought was a nice touch. Overall a great stay.

Fabulous
A lovely cottage in a great location. Everything we could have needed and more was available in the cottage. Gorgeous countryside views at the back. Nice walk to the beach and close to seahouses, bamburgh and Alnwick for the days out we had planned. We would definitely book again. Thank you for the Easter eggs, cake and wine, much appreciated! X

Fantastic long weekend away
The Bothy is a lovely cottage to get away to. It is very cozy and warm with lovely decor. Such a comfy bed to sleep in, what a treat! Sam has thought of so many things to make your stay just that little bit more special including a yummy welcome cake, special home made doggy treats and milk waiting in the fridge. The site is securely fenced which is great when traveling with a dog. It is so centrally located to explore the Northumberland area, a quick 10 minute walk into Beadnell to a nice cafe and pub. I would definitely recommmend The Bothy, we had a really lovely stay.

Lovely Cottage
We really enjoyed our stay the cottage was beautiful and very well equipped. It had a lovely kitchen and bathroom. The garden area is fab with a gorgeous view over fields and the sea can also be seen. On arrival there was a homemade cake, biscuits and wine, which was very kind and thoughtful. The location of the cottage is perfect, easy to walk into Beadnell village and the beach and lots of amazing places in easy reach by car. The only negative is that our stay was not long enough, we will hopefully be back soon, but for longer. Thank you!

Brilliant
This is a gem of a cottage comfortable cosy ,in the middle of the countryside with views over the corn fields yet within 15min walk from the pretty little town of Beadnell with its pubs and coffee shops. The regular bus route down to Craster or up to Banburgh was a bonus if like us you didn't want to use the car. The only downside for us was that we should have stayed more than 4 nights. Many thanks to Sam, Steve and family who made this holiday special.

A lovely cottage in a perfect setting.
The Bothy is a charming cottage, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Everything has been thought of. It is dog friendly with an enclosed garden with beautiful views across the countryside and to the sea. We had a wonderful stay the last week of August. The location is great. You can walk into Beadnell and along the coast from the cottage or drive further afield. I would highly recommend this cottage and am so pleased that it was available when we wanted to stay. Absolutely perfect!!

Lovely cosy cottage
We were met on our arrival by Lillian who showed us round the cottage. The Bothy is charming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners left a lovely home made cake, biscuits and wine for us which was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. We have to say that the bed was one of the most comfy beds we have ever slept in. During our stay we had a couple of problems that were sorted out straight away. This is a family run business and they are very keen that you enjoy your stay. Lovely family. We would not hesitate recommending this cottage.

Excellant 10 out of 10
Stayed at the Bothy 3 nights from the 20th of June 2016 with my daughter, son in law and my friend who is partially disabled. On arrival we were over the moon with the location and the quality of this holiday property.Samantha and her family obviously have a keen eye for detail. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable indeed.A large home baked cake was placed in the fridge on our arrival with handmade biscuits and wine, what lovely touch. The cottage was extremely well equipped and i will certainly be booking this again.Thank you so much Home Away for dealing with my booking and once again a massive big thank you to Samantha and family. 10 out of 10
