Were at the property to Thursday to Sunday for a wedding and the property was great. Lloyd was a huge help with restaurants and things to see and the place was perfect.
Our weekend at Lloyd and Jerry’s retreat was one of the most welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable lodging experiences we’ve had in many years of travel. It’s a gentle, gracious, peaceful spot beautifully appointed with every convenience. We’re looking forward to our next opportunity to visit the Cape.
The suite is a completely private, waterfront stay. Whether you are getting away for some quiet work or want to sightsee and return to an elegant, peaceful setting, you will be glad you found this gem. The host has provided a delightful retreat for his guests.
Loyd was a gracious host for this ground floor self contained room with more snacks than you can shake a stick at…! Had all that we needed for our short stay and convenient for exploring the Cape by car. Went with Loyd’s recommendations for local restaurants and enjoyed each one. After a long day out we would lounge looking into quiet nature quite peacefully (with a chilled white wine, of course…)
Very clean property in a country subdivision about 8 minute drive from Chatham. House owner Lloyd lives above walkout unit. He is a great host- very personable, generously provided wine, snacks, yogurt, fruit and some recommendations.
Easy access to roads to beaches and other villages.
We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay in Lloyd’s Chatham home and would love to make it happen a third time. Spacious, clean, well appointed and what a lovely array of snacks to enjoy after a Cale Cid Rail Trail bicycle ride. Bravo!!!
We were greeted by Lloyd, the owner. He provided many snacks and breakfast items - much more than we could possibly consume in 3 days. Answered any questions we had and had lots of advice for the area. Unique location close to nature.
Lovely studio apartment tastefully decorated with a sweet host who helps with local info and provides lots of snacks and goodies. No kitchen per se or easy place to eat is the only drawback. But plenty to make up for it. Close to Chatham and easy access to the rest of the Cape.
Lloyd met us and showed us around, then gave us full privacy.
The rooms are larger than they appear and the kitchen area is more than adequate for breakfast. He left us a lot of snacks as well as healthy breakfast food.
It's situated so that you feel remote but it's actually a quick drive into Chatham.
We read in a previous review that the bed is hard so we brought our own mattress pad, which we did need.
Thank you for a good place to stay, Lloyd!
It was a great stay for exactly what we needed plus some! Lloyd, the owner was very welcoming & personable. There were additional goodies for breakfast & to munch on during our stay which was very helpful for the wedding activities (our reason fir being there). We loved the place and would stay again. Lloyd & Jerry we’re great! Very responsive & friendly. Thank you to BOTH of you!! We had a great trip! Loved it!
There is no other way to describe the setting - a pretty studio on the banks of an estuary, filled inside with interesting artwork (and snacks!), with two sets of glass French doors opening out onto a patio enveloped in hydrangeas and birds. Lloyd is one of the most gracious hosts we have met - the icing on the cake! Wonderful week - thank you Lloyd!
Loved it.Lloyd was beyond helpful and the studio was so well appointed We really enjoyed our stay and Lloyd was spot on with his reccomendations of restuarants etc.We even had fresh flower bouquets in the apt. from his garden when we arrived. The decor was beautiful. My favorite thing was sitting on the patio with morning cofee or evening cocktail.I really hope we can go back sometime
My partner and I had a lovely stay at Lloyd’s studio. It was spacious and in a great location! Plus the snacks were endless. The only issues we had was the AC didn’t work very well and it was quite muggy. The power went out one night which didn’t help. Additionally, there were a ton of flies inside of the studio which wasn’t pleasant. Lloyd was so nice though that it made up for the minor issues.
We love everything about this studio! This was our 4th stay and we’ll be going back! Lloyd, the owner, lives upstairs. He is kind and generous and there when you have questions, but never intrusive. There are always many yummy goodies on hand Location is lovely and quiet and overlooks an estuary. We especially enjoy sitting on the patio at dusk and having a glass of wine and listening to the birds. Studio is clean, cozy and has absolutely everything one could need. And we love the proximity to downtown Chatham, beaches etc. Highly recommend this lovely vrbo! We look forward to our next visit!
This was a lovely rental. The space was very sophiscated with antique furnishings and beautifully painted walls. It was super clean. The space is a lot bigger then you’ll see in the listing. It sits on an estuary with lovely birds, bunnies, chipmunks, and the occasional black kitty. Lloyd the owner lives above the unit and is so gracious, respectful, and sweet. The bathroom has a tiled walk in shower and a spacious soaking tub. It’s a very quiet space with only the sounds of nature. I have to mention Ernie, the lovely little doggie that lives with Lloyd.

We had a Fantastic stay at this lovely spot on the Cape!
I want to say that we were met by Lloyd on our arrival and he was such a pleasure to meet. Lloyd made sure that we had everything we might need and did so graciously. It is a lovely studio apartment, quite large really plenty of room . The outdoor patio was surrounded by flowers and trees. The studio itself is decorated tastefully and is very clean . The bathroom is beautiful and spacious. My husband and I will definitely venture back to this lovely spot, hopefully in the near future.
Hope to see you soon Lloyd :)
Only one thing might be helpful paper-towels LOL to pick up any spills hate to stain the pantry towels.
Overall it was a great stay. I needed a brief peaceful getaway & this fit that perfectly. Loads of wildlife around, located on a dead end street next to conservation land. There were snacks and toiletries galore! There was even ground coffee, half and half, orange juice, fresh fruit, bagels & yogurt. I was very impressed with that. They only negatives I would mention are the bed had the hardest mattress I've ever tried to sleep on. Also, the TV was very small. My computer monitor at work is bigger. Otherwise, Lloyd was a dream to deal with and I would definitely consider staying there again.
We are now regulars at Lloyd’s lovely studio. This was our 6th or 7th stay. There is so much to love here- quiet location at end of cul de sac and on an estuary. Osprey, egrets and other birds are in abundance. We especially love sitting on the patio at sunset, enjoying a glass of wine. Lloyd always has fresh cut peonies in the room when we’re visiting in June, an added bonus.
The Studio is very clean and has any amenity you could possibly need. Large bathroom with double sinks and nice shower. The location is awesome, a few miles from downtown Chatham and Chatham beaches. Also easy access to Rt 6 to head up to Wellfleet/Ptown. As others have said, the snacks and provisions are abundant, unlike any other vrbo we’ve stayed at!
Perhaps best of all is Lloyd, the owner who lives upstairs. Such a gracious host and kind person. He is readily available if you have questions but not at all intrusive.
This Studio is a little slice of heaven. We look forward to our next visit!
This is our second stay at this lovely studio in Chatham. Cannot say enough good things about it! It’s cozy and comfy and has everything we need- clean and spacious bath, comfy bed, great location and a beautiful view of an estuary. The setting is peaceful and quiet, at the end of a street. Sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine listening to the birds singing, was a perfect way to end the day. Lloyd, the owner who lives upstairs, is the nicest man. He’s there if you need him but not at all intrusive. He also provides many delightful snacks and breakfast items which is an added touch many other hosted vacation rentals don’t! We will be returning to this lovely studio many more times in the future! Thank you Lloyd, for always making our stay so special!
This is our favorite place to stay on the Cape and our 5th stay :-) There are so many things to love about this spot. As many others have said, Lloyd is the most gracious of hosts and yet not at all intrusive (he lives upstairs, above the studio). The location is fantastic. If you like to listen to birds and watch lots of bird activity on the estuary in back, this is your spot. We love having a glass of wine on the patio in the evening and enjoying the greenery and the many bird songs.
The Studio is not far from downtown Chatham, restaurants and the beaches, so very conveniently located. Lloyd leaves *many* delicious sweet and savory snacks and breakfast goodies for his guests. I’ve never stayed at a vrbo where that’s been the case and it is an extra treat. The Studio is very clean and has all the comforts we need. There is also a large, double-sink bathroom and large shower. Thank you Lloyd, once again, for making our stay in this little piece of heaven so special :-)
I cannot say enough good about this location. It was an elegant apartment (with outstanding artwork). Our host had thought of every detail to make us feel welcome and comfortable and he was available had we needed anything. Morning coffee on the outdoor patio , surrounded by blooming hydrangeas and a pond down below was as good as it gets! This is the best place we have ever stayed!
Lovely place to stay. The owner was very kind and generous with goodies he left for us. Even a nice bottle of wine. It was a nice location. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is we had a hard time finding it - no visible house numbers - we drove around for 20 minutes trying to locate. Secondly there was no hot tub as advertised. If it was there, it is not in good location. Would return for sure.
