"The hotel was great. The room was big and nice, everything was super clean, the staff very friendly, and breakfast was very complete. Parking was very easy, in a garage that’s like one block away from the hotel, and which you pay for at the reception when you check out. The spa was also very complete and very fun. Finally, the location is perfect. You can walk around the city and reach anywhere in a few minutes. Would definitely stay again."

"We stayed two nights to see the gorges. It was wonderful. The facility is lovely….well laid out….great hot tub/pool….and the view from our room was beautiful. The Gorges du Verdon is a gem…..be sure to drive the loop and then the long way round….stunning."

"All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent and comfortable room which was an upgrade. Fabulous dinner in the restaurant and the sommelier who also ran the bar and restaurant was fun and helpful. Secure on-site parking which was included. "This is a nice comfortable place. It is away from town on a windy road. My advice is to be very specific on the accommodations you want. My friend and I booked a room with 2 beds and the hotel assumed 2 people would only need 1 bed, so they didn’t even put sheets on the other bed. I was told I should have added it to the comment section of the online reservation. Housekeeping had already departed by check-in time, so there was no remedy, except to share the bed. Difficulties upon arrival

"Turns out they were closed on the day of our checkin which we were not aware of. We tried to call and no one answered. We finally got a number for emergencies and he gave us the code to the safe with our key. When we got to the place they had not prepared at all. The beds were not made, there was no soap or cleaning items to towels yet checkout required us to wash dishes. The electricity was also off so we had to find the electrical box. The WiFi also didn’t work. When we tried to calll back the emergency number no one answered."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lou Calen. Starting with the check-in staff as they were so accommodating. The entire staff is extremely nice, helpful and friendly. I dont know for certain but it appears to be a family-run property. Our rooms were very nicely-appointed, very clean and most of all extremely modern. We were thrilled with our stay there"
