"We had a great time at Hotel de Margaux. We stayed in the Suite Vénitienne which is a large apartment in a little chateau close to the hotel with a view on a nice pool and a vineyard. The host was very nice. Too bad that their restaurant was closed and we had to go outside for dinner."

"If you are looking for a quiet countryside experience in the Bordeaux region with some of the most caring and adorable hosts possible look no further. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is always fresh and a great way to start a day of wine exploration in the region, and the overall atmosphere is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The crew that manages the guests are genuinely helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They patiently answered a thousand questions, even made dinner for us after their kitchen was closed when we came home hungry. The crew made our stay extra special. Notice i said come home. Thats how you feel at Chateau Meyre. At home!! Note: the Chateau is a bit remote and you need a rental car preferably or the chateau can find you a taxi but be prepared to pay for it since the distance to Bordeaux city and varied food options is a bit far. Highly recommend for an adorable French countryside experience. "

"This house was in the perfect location to explore wine country and Bordeaux. We drove to a Tram stop, Parked our car for free and took the tram into Bordeaux.The house is very well equipped, beautifully decorated and spotless! The owners live adjacent to the property and are very helpful. While they don't speak English (and our French is not the greatest) they did a great job communicating with us through Google translate. While it was just the two of us and we loved having so much space (including a gorgeous garden patio), this would be perfect for a family. Very private. Highly recommend this place. Deb and Bob USA"
