"We were driving from Bordeaux to Frankfurt and chose this hotel from Expedia’s site on a Friday because it had onsite parking and a restaurant. After checking in the receptionist told us (a) the hotel’s parking area was not safe so we should not leave any bags in the car and (b) the restaurant was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday ! We couldn’t get a refund but we found another hotel a few kms away with a secure parking lot and two restaurants, so we relocated. "

"They put me in a room right next to where they were doing a renovation and so it was noisy with drilling and hammering from 8 am to 5 pm. could not sleep in or take a nap in the afternoon as it was noisy. they had hallway lights on a timer that lasted 5 seconds literally and so the lights were always going off when walking the hallway and since they were not automatic sensor you had to grope your way around until you found the light switch to turn it back on. Staircase was very narrow so don't come with any luggage bigger than a carry on or else you will have a problem carrying up the staircase as they had no elevator. The hotel does not have any concierge/reception so there's no one to around to ask for help if you have questions. They serve breakfast too late as I had to leave by 8 am every morning so I could not take advantage of their breakfast. "

"Made the reservation for my wife as she was driving across France and wasn't sure when she would need to sleep. I wasn't able to confirm any details by calling the property because of a language barrier but that didn't bother me because my wife is French and speaks natively. The demeanor of the lady checking my wife in was beyond a Parisian cold. Given what my wife has explained she was just rude. And my wife is someone who never likes to complain about customer service. The coup de gras was her being asked to pay the next morning after I had already paid. My wife thought I had paid on the website but she is not confrontational. Overall, there is another hotel chain in France that shares the name of a bird. I would highly recommend you go there. For the same price you will receive the same accomodations but with kinder service. But I must admit there was a lady the next day that we spoke to, Julie, who was very kind. Yet, I will never reserve another room there. In case the staff would like to reply and say this has to do with the restaurant being closed on Sunday, it does not. While we were surprised that it was closed we were prepared and I found my wife a place close by she could stop for a takeaway salad before she arrived at the hotel. Yet I do wonder how your guests eat on a Sunday. If it is as ridiculous as your scoff implied then all restaurants must be closed on Sunday and of course they aren't. Train your people to have some manners. Teach them, no customers, no job"
