Mom's Cabin - Relax Without Trying

If you want to enjoy a nice quite place to relax, this is the place! Located south of Charlotte on Lake Wylie, and close to Carowinds amusement park, Mom's Cabin has been given rave reviews by fellow travelers. The cabin has a dock, so if you have a boat, or want to rent one, there is a place for it. Fishing, swimming, and games are available to renters.

Mom's Cabin cabin was built in 1967 as a summer vacation spot on a Lake Wylie. In 2004, the cabin was expanded and central heat and air was added. The 1500 square foot cabin has a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a 2nd bedroom with king sized bed, a 3rd bedroom with bunk beds, a living room with DirectTV, a modern kitchen / dining area stocked
with plates, cookery and utensils, two full bathrooms, a large screened-in porch, laundry, and wireless internet.

Mom's Cabin is 10 minutes from Carowinds amusement park, 30 minutes from downtown Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas airport, and 45 minutes from Charlotte Motor Speedway. There are many other local attractions within easy driving distance.

If you have a boat, the property has a dock. There are several launches available on Lake Wylie to put in, and many coves to fish, ski, or just enjoy.

Mom's Cabin is a great place for family vacations, small reunions, or a nice place to stay in the Charlotte area. Mom's Cabin has an overnight limit of 6, and is not equipped to handle large gatherings or events with greater than 12 people. Mom's Cabin is a pet free vacation spot.

Great Family Vacation
The porch was so nice being screened in, especially in the Summertime. Family enjoyed the dock, fishing and swimming and kayaking to the island. Mom’s Cabin is a great place to stay.

Great time by the lake
Myself, my husband, our daughter, son-in-law, and youngest son spent a week here at Mom's Cabin. The location was perfect. Close to stores and restaurants, but feels secluded and private. We saw the deer everyday, along with geese, ducks and a crane. The cabin was very spacious. It was well stocked. The place reminded us of our own family cabin. We all felt like kids again.

Girl’s 60th birthday trip
Great location with beautiful views. It was nice to have all the living space on one level. Just 4 steps to get in or out. Best part of the cabin is the great screened in porch overlooking the lake and cove. We only had a few minor issues. Some of the chairs on the porch were wonky and need to be thrown out. We found out the hard way they were broken. Then there were no directions for how to turn on the porch lights, but we got a fairly quick response and were able to use them on our second and third nights. Overall, a great weekend! I would definitely come back!

The perfect family getaway.
Mom's Cabin was the ideal getaway for me and my two boys. We wanted the feel of a cabin with all the necessary amenities. Great dock for fishing, swimming and relaxing. Next time I rent Mom's Cabin I will definitely rent a boat, the dock is very capable of this. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy a family weekend at your cabin. We will see you again. Danny D

Owner was friendly and responsive, property is well-appointed and the location is great. Proximity to Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC makes this a great place to enjoy a lake vacation, but have all the conveniences of a larger city.

We came down from Ohio to see family that lives in Lake Wylie. My granddaughter had a wonderful time
We had a wonderful time swimming off the dock and fishing off the dock my granddaughter even road are small raft over to the small beach on the island near the property. This is the perfect location for a family vacation. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans.

Great location, amazing porch!!

This house is perfect for a quiet getaway. The porch is wonderful --the view spectacular--the paddleboat fun--and the house comfortable and lovely! We had a wonderful long weekend! I would recommend this house!

February visit
Property was great and also enjoyed the surrounding area, especially the town of Belmont and Papa Doc’s restaurant. Spacious cabin, we especially liked the master bedroom with views and porch access. February was a little cool for the lake and the porch, but we really enjoyed the views from the porch.

We loved our time at Mom's Cabin. The huge screened in porch was very comfortable and had a great view of the lake. While we did not rent a boat, we made a lot of use of the dock (sitting, swimming, fishing). Everything we needed was available. Large bedrooms and very comfortable bedding.
