Great Location, Cool Design, But They Need a Checklist
I am going against my word on this review and I hate to do that because they were gracious enough to let me and my family in an hour early and stay an hour late and I told them as I was checking in that was a 5 star review, but unfortunately the entire trip the bottom floor did not have a working heater and got as low as 55 degrees. They communicated well with us. but I was constantly checking in with them on a person who was supposed to come fix it and they didn't make it until the evening of the second night of our two night stay. And they didn't fix it. So we had to pull the mattresses upstairs to the middle floor and for the cost of the stay, that's just not really acceptable. I was hoping they would give us a bit of a concession on the price given that we didn't use all of the house but they did not.
They were very, very communicative and I appreciated that but frankly if you're paying 5 star pricing you should have heat. They had a few other things they really should check and I would recommend they build out a "checklist manifesto" type list to make sure everything is working. The stove didn't ignite and we needed to get a lighter to start the stove, the garbage disposal didn't work, the upstairs TV was on a sign-in loop and needed factory reset... just a lot of things that a checklist would solve and for this kind of place I highly recommend.
Wouldn't stay again unless they did the checklist and guaranteed things worked. Really, really awesome place if so...
