Wonderful Home
Would stay here again. Very nice clean, beds were comfortable, (only queen beds as stated & for the luxury this home is only missing King Beds) They are correct, if staying anytime during winter Big 4-wheel drive is necessary, CRAZY, STEEP, WINDING DRIVEWAY- keep in mind we live in the UP so we are used to this type of thing.

Lovely Stay
Very nice place. We enjoyed the amenities, except the carpet in the bathrooms. The listing did not address the distance to the beach and the property manager would not provide this info until a day before a check in. In addition a response to our request for a later check out was surprising. First we heard no later check out because it takes 8 hours to clean the house. Then it changed to sure but you need to pay us for extra time. We have never heard of such practice that guests are charged for later check out (3 hours).before..

Great tree house in the woods!
Convenient location a mile from downtown. The house was beautiful, clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. House beautifully secluded in the woods gave a real up north feeling! Many levels and stairs though so should be very aware of that when booking and driveway is very steep but manageable. Didn’t need drapes in most of the house, but would have appreciated the option of having them in the master bedroom as woke most mornings with the light. Overall a great house and we enjoyed!

Large home that feels secluded but is very close to town
Beautiful home, clean and comfortable, large living areas, lots of bathrooms. 15-20 minute walk to beach access as well as tons of shops and restaurants in town. Pros : - plenty of room to spread out - lots of comfy furniture - huge upper deck with amazing treetop views - close to town but feels secluded Cons : - not suitable for small kids or people with mobility issues (in addition to the many stairs, there are lots of ups and downs inside the house. I stayed in the downstairs bedroom and you have to go up a step and down a step to go to the bathroom, which could be dangerous if you're sleepy, and the steps make no sense. it is also almost impossible to safely get in the downstairs shower--such a weird and awkward setup) - all bathrooms are carpeted (kind of gross) - no coffee maker (just a K-cup machine, which was a real bummer since we brought our own ground coffee but instead we had to use countless tiny plastic pods for coffee) - you can only enter the house through the downstairs door, and the car has to be parked by the upstairs door, so every time you come and go you have to send someone all the way down to go in and open the front door; why not put a combo lock on the front door?) Overall a very nice home but beware if anyone in your group finds steps challenging.

68 steps to.........................
Outside stunning. 68 steps up to the main level. The steps are not safe and totally without railing. Some of the steps are boulders/ very dangerous and I cannot believe this passed any building/renting codes. There were no blinds, shades, window treatments on any window. Only in two bathrooms with sheer curtains. Impossible to sleep once the sun came up. This is such an easy fix. The two main bedrooms have showers/tubs that are not safe and we had to share the only standing shower. The kitchen nice / no microwave ( $75 at walmart......which we bought for our 6 days there). The decks are not safe. The wood is rotted and the railing bars are loose. The stair on the deck is not attached and moves. VERY UNSAFE!! The worst part of this home is the driveway. It would be impossible/DANGEROUS/ UNSAFE during any rain or snow or night time driving. It is beyond the most unsafe drive ever. Based on SAFETY...........THIS HOUSE FAILS! The outside path to enter the mail level is unsafe. The drive up is even worse. I do not know how this passed any building inspections. I would say RUN don't walk away from this place but if you ran here you may not make it! Three easy fixes...........get the decks checked out and made safe. Outside stairs need railing and real steps. Get window treatments asap ( who wants to wake up at 6am on vacation) Fix the driveway it is BEYOND THE MOST UNSAFE DRIVEWAY!!! Until these improvements are taken care of I would not step foot in this place.
