Quaint and Quiet
The location was perfect and easy to grab a coffee in the morning and walk to dinner at night. The communication with the leasing agent was quick and efficient. The pictures on VRBO are not that of the actual kitchen house - something I got concerned about but was promptly assured of by the agents. There was an import issue with photos and the correct ones are on the agent's site. Though the house is historical and with it has lots of stories, I felt very safe and calm there. The neighborhood is active but not overwhelming. It was comforting to know the owners of the property were on site. They were friendly but very much respective of privacy. I was there on a research project and thought the location and nature of the house fit my trip perfectly. Can not recommend enough if you want something unique, quiet, quaint, clean, historical and a non-touristy location.

Lovely property close to Colonial Lake. The stairs would be difficult to navigate for anyone with weakness.

Quaint cottage.
The location was perfect for visiting the city. If you love history and architecture you will love the summer kitchen. The garden courtyard was beautiful. We sat out there every morning with our coffee and again in the evening and enjoyed listening to the water fountain. The space was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and inviting. Hosts were spectacular and would love to stay again in the future.

Would give more stars if I could
Everything was excellent about this place. The setting, location, charm, decor, history and supplies all excellent. Would go again in a heartbeat. Only thing I can think of is that when they say community garden they mean it. The hosts living room windows and shades are open directly onto sitting area outside entrance by the hosts don’t hover. Otherwise really private. Great for a couples retreat into history with perhaps more than the conveniences of home.
