Nice place to stay
Overall nice stay. Could have used a little more cleaning (found a press on finger nail and hair in the big shower) Needs a little updating…Towels thin, couch is uncomfortable. Maybe on a nice day open windows?? Smells a bit musty. Convenient location.

House is ok but location and flies not
Very good communication between host and I. The house was clean for the most part, however, there were a large amount of flies. I reached out to the host on Wednesday of last week to get this resolved. He stopped by the next morning with a few fly light catchers. Unfortunately, the flies were still very bad after these were installed. Not just a few house flies, a lot. They were stuck to the windows and the coffee table in the living room. The house was clean for the most part, however, there was a dead roach upstairs in the bathroom and when the cushions were lifted from the couch, lots of crumbs and food were underneath them. We had to wash several dishes from the cabinet before eating them. More paper towels and laundry detergent would be helpful for guests. I was not aware of the house being in a tight neighborhood where construction was going on around each side of it. Construction vehicles were legitimately right on top of our house. You could see them right through your window. There was parking in the back of the house, but it was very difficult to get in and out with the tight houses.

Sister property Charleston SC
We stayed at other location, not this one. Our host, Hudson was an excellent communicator. Our family loved the attention to detail interior design of the house on Ashe Street. The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated. I am in the design business and appreciated the detail. It was very clean and we loved the recycling bin on property. We will stay again with our host! Thank you Hudson!

Loved the house but not the extra guests
We were able to find the rental without issue and getting into the house was very easy. The two parking spaces allotted for the rental was pretty tight for our Ford Edge and we were a little worried about the rental behind us when they parked because it made it almost impossible to get into and out of the parking spot which is saying a lot for two people who drive bigger vehicles as part of our jobs. The construction across the street blocked us in a few times but they were quick to move for us when we wanted to get out. Our first night we had some unexpected guests in the form of termites in the bunk room which made us have to rearrange the kids last minute and call the property management to get help with the issue. They were quick to respond and did the best they could to fix the situation including sending someone to find the source of the problem and attempt to stop it as well as send their cleaning crew to change bedding on several days, but we continued to have termites on the bedding on one set of the bunks for the duration of our stay so we weren’t able to use the room to its full potential and the kids had to move all their things into our room. We also had a cockroach on our third night and then a bat flying around inside the rental on the fifth and then final night of our stay. Although the people who manage the property were fantastic on communication with us and did try to fix the situation, we could have stay at one of the hotels downtown with less trouble.

Pretty blue house
We found the house very comfortable and clean. Location was great, just a few blocks from City Market and Rainbow Row. Beds were comfortable. The whole house was beautifully decorated. Big screen tv was a bonus for relaxing in the evening. Good example of an old home updated and restored. Great pizza place was just a couple of blocks down the street. Really enjoyed our stay.

Fell a little short.
restored home built in the 1850s. with that come a few caveats that are not listed. there is no central heat/air. Each room has its own unit and some work better than others. center room took quite some time to cool off, and the room with the bunk beds stayed pretty warm considering is was the middle of July in SC during our stay. those units did not cool the stairwell or the second bathroom that is located up a second set of stairs on a 3rd level-that bathroom was HOT! had to keep doors to the bedrooms shut during the day to keep them cool for sleeping. layout of house was odd. Just beware that if you have small children who may need to tinkle in the middle of the night, the have to navigate a set of narrow stairs to get to the bathroom by the bunk room. My 6 yr old was nervous and we had to give him a small flashlight to navigate this. Also have to go through the 2nd bedroom to get from master to bunk room. Odd smell in the bunk room and in the stairwell that smelled like cat urine. was bad enough for my kids to notice and comment on it daily. Ice maker and water on fridge didn’t work. had to buy ice and water daily. master bath/under beds were not cleaned. had confetti and hair from prev occupant. 2 parking spaces is a stretch if the house behind is occupied. Had to park on the street. our car almost got hit twice by truck picking up a large dumpster and another truck pouring concrete(also blocked us in). Owners own both properties. No communication or heads up.

Easy Walk to King Street
The space was perfect for our group of two moms and three kids. The teens had their own room to sleep and hangout while the adults had their own beds (and bathroom). The downstairs kitchen area is super cute although we did not eat in to enjoy using the dining area. We were thankful for the coffee provided. Location was a block from a favorite pizza spot and just a short walk to King Street.
