Grand Oaks Cottage: Ideal Location! New Fire Pit!

This charming cottage is a haven tucked off of Folly Road. Only 5 minutes from Folly Beach and 8 minutes from downtown historical Charleston.
This hideout is not in a neighborhood and the weather right now is perfect for the new firepit with cabana out back!
The porch over looks a large back yard that is framed in by four majestic Grand Oaks that are draped with Spanish Moss, hence how the cottage was named. While relaxing it is possible to see occasional wildlife!

There is a large driveway for big toys!
Grocery store, restaurant/bar and brewery right across Folly Rd.

The charm of the place is that it's tucked off the road! Rafael Lane can be tricky to find. Get in the median right across from Bohemian Bull restaurant. The dirt road is on the left. After turning onto the Lane, take a right at the first drive and come straight back down a gravel drive. There will be a larger house on right with the cottage after.

Beautiful property and building/s and a wonderful place for our family to stay. Had a 4 year old and 7 month old for our first big trip together. Great communication from property owner and manager. The outdoor space was wonderful and we appreciated the proximity to both beach and downtown.

Truly enjoyed the stay at the cottage. Hosted a small bach party and the cottage was great for all our needs! They have done awesome renovations and we loved the back yard area! Great location to all things! Would stay again!

cutest little bungalow
hidden down a dirt road, this cute little bungalow has charm and a fun outdoor party room. About 7 minute drive from the beach, was a nice option from staying directly in Folly beach.

An absolutely perfect location, literally 5 miles from Folly Beach in one direction, 5 miles from historic downtown Charleston in the other direction. The cottage is clean and well stocked, and situated on a secluded wooded lot. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Grand Oaks Cottage is the BEST!
Location is perfect! Close to everything we wanted to do and needed! This was the most peaceful and relaxing little vacation we have had in years! The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 and the outdoor area was more than we could have ever expected! We have decided to never ever stay in a hotel again! PERFECT!! We will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Perfect Place
Perfect Place to stay when visiting Charleston. Super close to the beach access, and all the fun things Charleston has to offer. Property is very well kept & clean. Owner was very responsive & offered great recommendations. It does state it sleeps 4, however, I suggest bringing an air mattress, (which we did) rather than sleeping on the couch futon if more then one couple visits. Overall, truly a “cozy” cottage. We will definitely revisit!

Great Location
Located halfway between Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. Fifteen minutes to each. Couldn't possible have been any cleaner. The new Cabana Bar with big screen TV is awesome. Great little cottage for one couple. I would not hesitate to return.

Adorable Lil Cottage
Took a mini midweek vacation with my daughter, to get away before school starts. The location is great, parking easy, place was spotless, everything easy to find and things one might need but didn’t have was there ( like cooking oil) so it was really effortless. We loved how cozy the space is and the art perfectly compliments the beachy vibe. The owner gave us some tips for locals and that was helpful. All around excellent experience!

Quick Vacation
Location is perfect for accessing Folly Beach, John's island and downtown Charleston. The property is secluded and well landscaped. The owner lives onsite and welcomed us graciously and offered us many perks that we didn't expect, very much appreciated. The cottage is appointed with local artistry, comfortable furniture, modern appliances and all the essentials needed for a functional kitchen. The bathroom is clean and updated. Retail shopping is close by. Great domicile for active lifestyle couple looking for convenience, comfort and seclusion. We will book this cottage next time we visit.

Beautiful house and amazing location
The house is perfect for families with children. Super clean and well equipped. It's very spacious and comfortable for the size and every detail is very well taken care of. It has everything you could need. The bed is comfortable even for people with back problems. The porch and the table outside are really nice. It's very close to Folly Beach, our favorite beach in the world, and downtown Charleston too. Surrounded by trees and silence but with direct access to Folly rd, restaurants, stores and the beach. I absolutely recommend this house. We will be back!

Perfect Little Getaway
I can’t say enough great things about our stay here while my boyfriend and I were in town for a friend’s wedding. I’ll start with the flexibility of the host. Both my boyfriend and I flew in, him from LAX and myself from NYC. He had a red eye Thursday night into Friday morning at 6, and the host let him check in at 6am when he landed as opposed to waiting around until 4pm, which was the standard check in time. We were so grateful for that flexibility and set the bar high for the rest of our stay. The host was present on the property making sure the check in was good and offering recommendations if needed. The inside of the cottage was pristine and felt even bigger than the pictures showed. It was a great location, just a few minute drive to Folly and about 15 to downtown. We also enjoyed the front porch too for breakfast one morning. We felt tucked away while still being in a great location. I wish we had a reason to come back soon, but I think just renting this cottage will be enough to visit again! Thank you again so much for the early check in, it saved the day on Friday and we truly enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely loved our stay. The area is so beautiful and the house we stayed in was just the perfect size for us. Close to everything Charleston had to offer. The owners were extremely friendly.
