This home is modern and very relaxing with an open floor plan. The living room has a large flat screen smart tv, electric fireplace and a large window to bring in tons of sunlight. The kitchen has plenty of cabinets, a lot of granite counter space with stainless appliances that include refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, electric stovetop with overhead exhaust and microwave. The dining room has a oval table that seats six with a large window providing plenty of sunlight. The top floor also has two bedrooms. One bedroom is large with a queen bed, deep walk-in closet and a large window overlooking the back deck and wooded scenery. Another bedroom is slightly smaller with two closets and a large window looking out to the front of the house. The lower level has a large master bedroom with three closets and an attached custom bathroom with a very large walk-in shower. The family room has a large flat screen smart TV with two sofas and ottoman, a dry bar and patio doors that walk out to the large deck. This home also has a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

Great stay in Charleston
Family came from all over to visit Charleston for USA Cycling National Championships. Plenty of room to spread out, and Rodger was very helpful during our stay. Great visit!

Loved the double decks, house was clean! The backyard isn’t really usable but lots of wildlife to see from the deck chairs! At a dead end so not much traffic. Would definitely stay again!

My mom and I absolutely loved staying at this property! Rodger is a wonderful host, he’s very communicative and responded promptly to any questions. While we only stayed one night, this is a place I could have easily stayed at for a week. I hope one day I have a chance to go back and stay longer. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Charleston.

A lovely getaway
The house was very clean and nicely decorated. I was particularly pleased with the beds. They were very comfortable. There was everything we needed although bath mats for the showers would be nice. I was a little surprised that there wasn’t any soap for the showers, something we have found in other VRBO rentals. The host Roger, was very helpful and responded to my questions very quickly. Thanks for that Roger.

Comfy beds and great AC!
Cousins weekend. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely place! It was quite beautiful and plenty of room for us to spread out. We played games on the deck and at the dining room table. We went kayaking on the Elk River which was very clean. Thank you for all the extra amenities made available like coffee (which I forgot) and sugar and cream, filters. We used the washer and dryer which was wonderful to have. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house worked very well for my sister with her 3 kids and myself with my 2 kids. We were all very comfortable with plenty of room to spare. It is a nice clean property that is close to shopping and restaurants. The host was excellent as well and very responsive when we had questions. Make sure you look for an email from the host with the door code. I missed it but he was very helpful.

Wow, I can’t even come close to articulate the right words on this wonderful property. If it wasn’t for the property, or the location, it was for the neighborhood. The kindest neighbors with amazing four legged furry friendlies I’ve ever been blessed to meet. Make sure you meet Gary and his beautiful lab buddy. Rodger is the greatest host, and is also ex military (Thank you for your service).

This house was the perfect house for my family to stay in. We are a large family with children of all ages from babies to teens, the rooms were perfect the deck was amazing for hanging out, the property even had a grill so we of course cooked out. This house offered all the amenities EVEN EXTRA AIR MATRESSES!!!!! Everything was spotless and anything you could need was provided. A couple of neighbors stopped by when we were outside and we’re so so sweet. Staying here made us all never want to go back home to Missouri. From the fresh coffee in the morning and foggy Mountain View, to the deer sleeping in the backyard while we hung out. This place is amazing and in an amazing area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Flawless
Flawless. The best fitting adjective to describe our stay. Rodger was attentive and quick to respond and keep us informed in regards to the availability of the property for early check in. The property itself was spotless. You can most definitely tell that there is not a single detail overlooked and both Rodger and the housekeeping crew make every effort to keep the property in impeccable condition for their guests. The two levels of the house worked perfectly for both my sister's family in town from Florida as well as myself and 4 nieces in town from Texas and the UP of MI, respectively. It gave everyone plenty of space to spread out. The fenced yard was just big enough to allow the kids,(6) ranging from ages 6- 15, room to run around. The air mattresses and couches made it easy for everyone to have their own beds and not have to double up. I would have no hesitation in booking Rodger's property again.
