Nice location - 1/2 mile from king st.
We had a great stay. When we arrived we were missing some bedding for a pullout couch and there weren’t any pans to make dinner, only 2 pots. Even though it was 9:30 they brought us what we needed right away. Everyone was so friendly and responsive. The location was nice. It is just under 1/2 miles from king st activities. There is a great market right up the street with everything you could need. Great selection, great wine, and great prices too! The upper unit of this duplex was spacious and comfortable! Thank you!

Great spot for a weekend getaway.
This property was a great spot for our group. Just a short Uber ride away from anywhere we wanted to go. We were also able to walk to a selection of restaurants in less than 20 minutes. Property was very clean and property manager was prompt with their responses. We’d stay again!

Cute but lacking
Keycode did not work upon arriving. Had to call to have it reset. No instructions given to lock door with keypad. Instructions in booklet in unit do not match instructions given via text 24 hrs before arrival. Property mngmt was very friendly and helpful. Unit lacks supplies ie-frying pans, body wash, dish cloths or sponges to wash dishes. Wifi network did not work had to call . Dirty used linens in cabinet in living room and on wardrobe in master bedroom. Tables were dirty in back bedroom. Per air conditioner instructions temp was not to be set under 70 degrees or line will freeze. It was set at 66 when we darrived.

Bachelorette Weekend
The location was perfect! The place was clean and really nice. The only issue we had was the passcode didn’t work when we got there and we had to leave a voicemail with the office and wait for them to get back to us to get it reset when we got there. It took about 45 minutes. Otherwise, it was a great stay. No issues!

Girls Trip
The location of this place was great! The property was very clean and tidy, comfortable and with good supplies. The major drawback that was not really addressed in the listing is the parking situation. It is difficult at best when there is someone occupying the upstairs and the downstairs units because it is very tight without much room to navigate. We were asked by the other occupants to come move cars around because they couldn't get out on their side. The other issue is the WIFI, it connected but was extremely slow. some of us actually got faster service taking it off of WIFI depending on who our carrier was, and then the door lock did not work correctly and it usually took several attempts to get it to stay locked. I will say that they were efficient in handling our AC problem. The AC went out on a Sunday afternoon but they were able to get it fixed quickly by that night which we were very grateful for because it was HOT! It was a good place to stay for a few days to see the downtown area but because of the parking I wouldn't want to stay there for a longer vacacion

The Make-it-work house
If this is in your desired location and budget, you can make it work. Despite the following comments, I would consider staying here again, but it’s not perfect. The front door has an electric unlocking mechanism that is challenging to use. The door is loose and the deadbolt struggles to find the hole. Instead of fixing it, they decided to make-it/work. The entire unit is built on an uneven floor. Whether you walk on the carpet, wooden floor or bathroom tile, you’ll be going up/down as much as 5 inches as you walk. Make-it-work. The master shower has tropical rain forest shower head, but those are supposed to be mounted on the ceiling with the head laying flat. They didn’t do that. It’s mounted on the wall and the water pressure is terrible so water just runs out the bottom of the shower head, 5 inches from the wall. Make-it-work. Both showers have the remains of a shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser that is no longer in use. Instead of removing them, they remain as an obstacle to navigate while showering. Make-it-work. The paint throughout the unit appears if it all received one uneven coat. Make-it-work. The AC is aggressive and blows directly in your face while sleeping in the master bed…making you cold. Then it turns off for too long and you find yourself uncovering. At that moment, it kicks back on and you freeze. Make-it-work. There is a note on the AC unit about not leaving the fan on or turning the AC down any further as it causes the pipes to freeze.

Nice area
The apartment was cute, beds comfortable, bathrooms adequate. Neighborhood was great for walking to different parts of the city if one enjoys walking! Took an Uber for nighttime activities. The one negative comment is about the sitting area. The furniture is extremely uncomfortable, the TV too small and the lighting poor. The last 2 nights we did not have adequate TV reception/? Cable or WiFi issue. Overall a nice rental

Nice place but a few items needing fixing
Although we liked the property, there were a number of items needing fixing, i.e. no functioning outdoor iights, parking instructions unclear, no wand on the blinds, dripping shower, etc. We alerted the management company however and they have said all will be fixed before the next visitors arrive. Just a shame that these items weren't addressed before our arrival.

Off some from King street but within walking distance. Uber everywhere so easy and convenient. Place was perfect for our girls weekend. Beds slept great!! Felt safe and secure. Loved this little upstairs apartment that met all our needs without the expense of staying in king street. Thank you so much! I will recommend

Overall very nice
Overall very nice place. Wi-Fi is not secure, so that was disappointing. What was available kept disconnecting unexpectedly, so no TV service. Manager easy to contact, but not resolved during our stay. Neighborhood seemed safe but grocery stores close seemed to depend on cigarette and liquor sales and had barred windows. Water by single bottle only but if you wanted beer there were lots of options. Sirens didn't bother us but loud cars with loud radios did. They did seem to stop late evening. Beds very comfortable. Livingroom furniture could use an upgrade. Bedrooms big with lots of places to put clothes. A small chair in each would be a welcome addition.

Overall a good spot
Overall this is a good property. There are some challenges with noise. It is near and on one of the main roads to the hospital with sirens and helicopters going from 5 am - 11 pm. Some window treatments would help block out the street lights, especially in the master bedroom. There are blinds but they do little to help block the light from the street. There is no "cable" as one would think when a property list cable i.e. as one may have at home or in a hotel (I travel a lot for work). There is only a roku tv box. The house was super clean! We were the only rental at the time so parking was not a challenge for us. The house is closer to the hospital and CofC. It is a long walk from the other touristy things in Charleston so you will need to ride share or drive and find parking. The house overall has adequate furnishings and meets the needs for a rental property.

Mixed Feelings…
My family and I had all spent the week struggling with what to say about this property. There were a lot of great aspects that we really appreciated & deserve credit, but there were also quite a few disappointments. The location is great & it seemed like we could easily (and fairly quickly) get wherever we needed. It’s a cool/modern space & was a comfortable place to call home for a week. The parking was a little tricky. There were 2 different downstairs guests in our time here & we had to spend time coordinating with both of them to make sure we were all on the same page. It feels like the owners spent a lot of time considering the guests comfort. There were lots of extra blankets, quilts, comforters, pillows, etc.. & the kitchen was well stocked with any cookware you’d need. Noise machines in 2 rooms to address the bustling streets. In that aspect, it felt like they had gone above & beyond. All of those extra comforts means that it takes time to properly clean the property & that’s where everything fell short. There was a bit of a dirty/wet smell to the place. My pillow cases on the pre-made bed smelled gross. Luckily I found some spare ones that seemed clean. There were lots of stains on different sheets/blankets & the couch. (Also had a cockroach fall out of the pullout couch) One of the living room chairs seemed to be ready to collapse & the dressers were all in pretty rough shape. The beds were all really loud/squeaky. It was also a bit strange to have family-sized shampoo/body wash/conditioner that’s continually shared with different guests. None of these things were awful, as we had the means to address the issues- but the magic sort of disappears when you feel like you have to clean/wash/febreeze the place you just paid good money to stay in. All things that could be easily addressed & would make it worth 5 stars. Unfortunately they just weren’t addressed before our stay.

Nicely renovated property
This second floor property was very clean and nicely furnished. Its location is several blocks from Charleston's historic district, but the free CARTA DASH buses are not too far away. Parking is conveniently provided in the driveway alongside the home. This was a selling point for me as several Charleston listings that say they include parking don't actually guarantee a free parking spot. The beds were all very comfortable with good quality sheets and pillows. Good quality towels were provided. The beautiful hardwood floors at the rear of the home are not exactly level, which I believe adds to the charm of this older home. The large kitchen has modern appliances including a toaster, a Kuerig coffee maker (with coffee), as well as everything you need to fix and eat a meal short of the food. It was nice to be able to cook and eat breakfast before heading out to see Charleston. The provided internet was reliable. Please note that sounds from the street can be heard inside. Ambient noise generators are provided to help address this although we didn't use them. If you are a light sleeper, this may be a concern. All things considered, I feel this was a very good value.
