Cabana House | Casa Zoë - Award Winning Condé Nast

Summary:
Slide into the heart of Charleston like you own the place with Casa Zoë, your VIP pass to the city’s thrumming pulse, right where the action is—on the most elite street and on the best block in the Short Term Overlay District. But don’t worry, we keep the buzz at the doorstep; inside, it’s all about serene, chic retreat vibes, with a sprinkle of old Charleston magic and a generous pour of modern flair and whimsy.

The Space:
Welcome to Casa Zoë's Cabana House, where boho-chic isn't just a style, it's a way of life, framed by the iconic glamour of Slim Aarons art. This jewel is perched in the heartbeat of Charleston, a skip away from the culinary wizardry of James Beard-awarded restaurants, the sweet temptations of Sugar Bakeshop, and the smoky seduction of South Bound, where the open fire kitchen meets a bar so sexy, it could write its own romance novel. Not to mention, you're surrounded by boutique shopping that could easily turn a leisurely stroll into an all-day affair.

Here, every detail is meticulously curated for your delight—luxurious linens that make mornings a dilemma, a kitchen that inspires even the culinary timid to experiment, and an HD TV for those who argue that a good binge-watch can indeed be therapeutic. The private porch and courtyard? Your personal oasis for sipping, laughing, or simply soaking in the Charleston charm.

But it's not just the inside that counts; it's the location that makes Cabana House a standout. Imagine being so close to Charleston's best dining, cafes, and shopping that you'll wish you had more meals in a day and more room in your suitcase. It's a place where leaving feels impossible, not just because of the comfort, but because of the promise of what awaits just outside your door. So, dive into the Cabana House experience, where luxury meets location, and every visit feels like a discovery of something wonderfully new. Just remember, while the memories are yours to keep, the plush towels prefer to stay behind.

The Neighborhood:
Cannon-Elliotborough embodies the quintessential Charleston charm: a blend of fine dining, quaint cafes, vibrant bars, and one-of-a-kind boutiques that echo the quirkiness of an eccentric relative. With its streets inviting leisurely strolls, you'll navigate the neighborhood like a seasoned local, stumbling upon hidden gems at every corner. Positioned just moments from the bustling energy of King Street, it strikes a perfect balance between a tranquil retreat and the city's dynamic rhythm. For those seeking an authentic Charleston experience, Cannon-Elliotborough is the place to be—it captures the city's vibrant essence in a way that's lively yet pleasantly subdued.

Getting Around:
Stride with purpose or give your app a quick tap—getting around here is a breeze. Stroll at your own pace to discover neighborhood treasures, or summon an Uber with ease for a jaunt to the beach or a city escapade. Everything's within reach, with ample rides to whisk you away. In this pedestrian haven, you reign supreme, with convenience as your scepter and the streets your kingdom.

Other Things to Note:
Casa Zoë guests get exclusive access to The Wonderer Charleston, a private 2-acre oasis downtown with a pool, eateries, bars, cabanas, a gym, spa therapies, workspaces, live music, and social events. It's an adult-only club with a Bali-Tulum vibe. Note: Day passes are first-come, first-serve, and booking ahead is advised for visits between April 15th - September 1st. Groups over 8 need approval and may need to rent a cabana. The Club's entry age is 25, with exceptions for members' guests or special permissions. Check for age limits at special events.

Graduation Weekend
House is beautiful, beds comfortable, most needs met. Could use some more kitchen pans (baking pans). Great location. My family loved it and it was perfect for our graduation celebration.

Great location, great house, great time
We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was clean, roomy, and a quick walk to great bars, restaurants and shops. There were 8 of us for my bachelorette party, and we all had plenty of room, towels, dishes, etc. Highly recommend staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. It’s the most spotless VRBO we have stayed in. The beds were so comfortable, entire house super clean and cozy and a great location for walking and strolling. We would absolutely stay again.

Make our annual girls trip the best ever!
We’re looking for a rental to enjoy our annual girls trip. This location and place did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. The location is in walking distance to King Street and all other near amenities. Great if you want to enjoy the downtown Charleston scene or relax with friends on the patio.

The best stay at Cabana House
Our group of friends came down for a quick trip to our favorite town for some Christmas shopping and the amazing food scene. This house was absolutely perfect. The beds were so comfy and we loved having coffee out on the porch in the mornings. The location couldn't have been better-so close to King Street for shopping and restaurants. We did try to new restaurant across the street- Southbound and were blown away by it. Delicious!!!! Thank you Stevenson- this will be our go to spot for all of our trips to Charleston from now on!

Lovely historic property
Great location in a walkable neighborhood. Beautifully appointed with attention to detail. Outside street noise in an old house was as expected In the front of the house. Owners very attentive to needs. Can’t wait to return.

Sparrow House for the family
Sparrow House worked great for a family gathering of 8. Great location and a comfy home. We spent. Lot of time in the house and the “hardest” thing we had to work with was the dining table, as it was a little tight for the group.

HS Girlfriends Trip
A group of 5 girlfriends from all over the country met in Charleston for a fun get together. The house was very cute and in a great location. Very close to King Street where there are tons of restaurants. The only negative was that it seems like the garbage is picked up daily and it is picked up very early in the morning and is extremely loud.

Loved thecity and sights
Nice roomy house for 8 adults and two children. Very good location. Walking distance to King street and other places. Parking is easy and close to the house. The house has been renovated but there were a couple of issues that were rectified quickly. The house was nice and we enjoyed our visit with our family.

Bachelorette Bash
We had 11 people and somehow this house still didn't feel cramped! It was a beautiful home with tons of natural light, a great piazza and a homey feel. We were close proximity to everything we wanted to see in Charleston so we could walk or take a short Uber anywhere we needed to go. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the house was very clean. It was perfect for our group!

Fun party house (6 guests for girls weekend)
Pros: - Newly renovated; nice amenities - Managers are very accommodating! They helped is coordinate grocery delivery from Harris Teeter and wine delivery from The Wine Shop. - Walking distance to great restaurants and shops Cons: - Neighborhood is emerging; lots of renovation going on. Not terribly picturesque. It will be great in a few years.

Not what I expected
Location was acceptable. Beds were comfortable. The biggest issue was that the home is older and has an unpleasant odor. It was not what we were expecting. We spent one night in the house and moved to another location.

Wedding weekend stay
I stayed here the weekend of my wedding with a group of friends! The location was wonderful-- such a good neighborhood with some fav coffee shops and so close to everything else you would need. The historic Charleston-style home, colors, and decor were such a nice backdrop for showing off Charleston and for photos! We truly enjoyed our stay here, it was great for what we needed-- however, most of the bedding and towels had dirt and makeup stains and the living room sitting/sleeping decor is different than in the listing photo, and quite dirty. Thankfully, the host was easy to contact and they sent someone to change all the linens very soon after we called, but it was obvious it hadn't been checked before we arrived. For the price of this listing and the well-reviewed Host, we were disappointed that it wasn't more clean upon arrival.

Charleston getaway
There were 4 of us staying at the property and we each had our own bedroom. We loved the property with the charm of old Charleston but with modern conveniences. The kitchen was beautiful. We especially loved how there were sinks added in the bedrooms that had plentiful counter space to spread out all toiletries and outlets/space to recharge phone/ipods overnight. The communication prior to our stay was welcoming and informative. The best part was the kindness of Meg the property manager. She immediately brought us over batteries for the TV remote when we called and she was so helpful holding onto our luggage after checkout when we had a few hours before we had to depart for the airport. Not wanting to miss a moment in Charleston - she kept our luggage while we had lunch in downtown Charleston. Thanks so much!

NOISY
The property description online does not say the property driveway is an entry to dumpsters and garbage disposal. There was noise constantly most of the night and early AM with large garbage cans and dumpster activity to the point where you could not sleep. We had a 4 day rental with very little sleep. It is also right across the street from a restaurant so also lots of noise there and people leaving restaurant loudly going to their cars parked in the area behind the house. Again...no sleep. This house is better suited for those who like to party, but not a family with infants and young children who need sleep. Having said all that, the house itself was very clean.

Absolutely perfect house in downtown Charleston.
I stayed here over Labor Day weekend for my bachelorette party. The house was absolutely perfect! We were a group of 11 and there was tons of space. No one felt crowded and there were plenty of bathrooms which is usually a problem in most houses with that many people. The house was recently renovated and it looks fantastic on the inside and out. It's super cute and decorated extremely well. I think the most enjoyed aspect were the beds!!!! They are SO COMFORTABLE and soft and no one wanted to get out of bed. The entire house was super clean and there were amenities provided such as trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and plenty of extra linens. The location couldn't be any better. We walked every except when we went to the beach. It's super close to King Street, tons of restaurants, the pineapple fountain and really anywhere you want to go downtown. If I travel back to Charleston with a group I will absolutely stay here again. Meg was available all weekend and she is SO sweet. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Adorable house but very Noisy!
House is very clean, beds are comfortable and location is good BUT: 1. Vacant dilapidated house next door and when sitting on porch, that’s your view 2. Since house next door is vacant house, all the trash bins for restaurants across the street are stored behind it. Therefore the employees roll these trash bins out on gravel driveway from 10 pm-1 am. It is VERY VERY LOUD!! Not to mention trash truck picks up around 7 AM so don’t plan on going to bed early if you’re a sensitive sleeper or sleeping in. Also, employees hung out behind vacant house because that’s where they park and talk till 2-3 AM so back bedroom of rental house heard all of this. Meanwhile, street front bedrooms hear cars all night long in addition to trash bin roll out. 3. The 2 street side bedrooms each have their own bathroom, which is perfect! The primary, alcove bed and other bedroom upstairs (3 bedrooms) share the 2nd bathroom upstairs. There’s a full bath downstairs off of dining room that alcove and 3rd bedroom upstairs can use, but you have to go down a spiral staircase and during the night it can be a bit treacherous when tired. 4. No drawers to put any clothes in. Especially for the alcove bed. There’s no closet or dresser so you live out of your suitcase. I wish I had known these things before renting this house.

Beautiful Charleston home
Stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend, and couldn't have asked for better! Such a beautiful, historic home with character, while also being well-equipped with kitchen supplies and comfortable beds. The landscaping is also beautiful, and a few photos taken here before my wedding turned out amazing.
