"The cottage was a lovely place to stay. The property was very quiet and presented exactly as the listing described. We had everything we required and everything was clean and tidy. The pool area was lovely. There wasnt really anything in the village but the nearest town was only 10 or so minutes away. There was a supermarket and petrol station and a market. "Lovely place. Loads of space for us 4 families to spread out across the 2 separate houses. (Handy to put the teens in the end one on their own). Weather was very hot so we really appreciated the pool, the shade of the walnut tree and the Bluetooth speakers. A couple of extra parasols would have been great, but we managed fine. Bedrooms were very hot at night, even with the fans going, but it was an unusually hot week (32-38 C). Weather conditions also meant a lot of flies, which were a bit...

"We had a wonderful week. Communication beforehand was great and nothing was too much trouble. If youre looking for bright lights and busyness this is not it - though its only a car journey away. The pool about a minute's walk down the path was beautiful. The cottage was clean and contained everything we needed. Would return."

"Bon rapport qualité/prix. Propriétaire agréable, cependant la propreté du logement n'était pas optimale et la piscine était vraiment froide alors que c'était la raison principale de notre réservation, mais nous nous y sommes baignés au début seulement et pour la suite nous sommes allés à la plage car l'océan nous semblait moins froid. Dommage. Sinon on a bien profité du court de tennis en famille, et l'environnement est très calme. "

"Lovely property and stay"

"Lovely gite in a lovely area. We particularly enjoyed going to the port to read in the shade and enjoy a drink in the bar/restaurants. Plenty to do and see in the local area with La Rochelle and Bordeaux within 90 minutes to go further afield. Jo was very welcoming and helpful, being only 20 minutes away if needed"

"Fabulous 3 bed gite with a large pool, air con, fast wifi, outdoor games and UK tv channels. Great for families. Handily placed - 30mins to Royan, 40 mins to Cognac, 50 mins to Bordeaux. Catherine, the hostess, couldn't do more for us. We had a great time (despite the weather) and would heartily recommend this idyllic, quiet get-away."

"Wonderful hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We are so grateful we chose this hotel as the staff was exceptional and so helpful, the room very comfortable, the spa was a nice addition and it's in a perfect location.
