We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. Lugnt o avkopplande!

Lägenheten, poolen var jättebra!!! Lite dåligt utbud i poolbaren tyvärr, men supertrevlig personal. Bil är nödvändigt annars måste man åka taxi!! Dåliga bussförbindelser. Ingen restaurang på gångavstånd.

The self contained accommodation at Zorbas Beach Village hotel was very nice and it included everything you might need even for a longer stay (e.g. small electric oven & stove, microwave, all utensils you might need...). We also enjoyed the two private balconies and large kitchen/lounge with tv. We particularly liked the fact that reception left few mosquitoes repellent plugs as this was a nice touch. The complex is in a quiet narrow lane a bit isolated from the main town, but easily reachable either by car or by their free shuttle bus. Only "negative" note is that the we discovered the very nice pool was only open in the afternoon (after 2.30pm) which was a bit of a bummer as we planned to use it in the morning, as well as the fact that the small private beach didn't have any umbrella and few chairs. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, relaxing, clean and friendly. Homes are well equipped and comfortable. Food is very good as well. Nice bar, pool area and beach. Couple more beaches nearby. Two Supermarkets down town about one mile away. You can ask for free transportation. Transfer to airport 30 euros. Nice play area for kids. Only one other restaurant nearby. Bus stop to Chania and Stavros centre about 500 metres on main road. We had lovely Holidays half term October. Very recommended. We will visit again!

Charmant petit village de vacances au bord de la mer, petite crique de sable. Comme on est au bout de la route, l'endroit est très calme et tranquille. Le personnel est très accueillant et aux petits soins. Les appartements sont propres, ménage fait et linge changé tous les jours. Pas de vis à vis entre appartements, charmant jardin fleuri et piscine magnifique. Bref un beau petit coin de paradis pour se reposer.

The hotel located in front of a beach, but that is like 20 yard in diameter. The real beaches are not directly accessible from the hotel. You have to go around the town (15 min walk for a closest beach). After all, the ocean view is great and it was quiet as not really summer season yet.

Établissement familial, très calme, à l’ecart de l’agitation touristique. Petits bungalows individuels en bord de mer et au cœur d’un joli jardin, avec petite terrasse individuelle. Équipés d’une kitchenette avec four micro ondes, plaques électriques et frigo. Air conditionné et coffre fort. Accueil extrêmement aimable et attentif, bons conseils sur les sites à visiter. En dårlig start

Vi ankom kl. 14:00 og fik at vide, at vi ikke kunne få den bestilte lejlighed pga. 'plumming problems'. I stedet kunne vi få et lille studio + gratis morgenmad. Vi så det og var ikke interesserede. derfor bad jeg om at få vores penge tilbage, så vi kunne finde et andet overnatningssted. der blev ringet til manageren, som tilsyneladende sagde nej. Så blev vi sat til at vente, og ført 15:30 kunne vi få det, vi havde bestilt og betalt for, og jeg er helt sikker på, at det kun skete, fordi jeg var særdeles vedholdende i, at vi ville have det, vi havde betalt for eller have pengene retur. Da jeg spurgte, hvordan de pludseligt alligevel kunne fremskaffe en lejlighed, var svaret, at de ville forsøge at overtale andre gæster til et byt. Det er fuldstændig uacceptabelt, at vi skulle stå og vente 1½ time på at kunne booke ind - og uden nogen former for kompensation. De to damer i receptionen var venlige. Vi forsøgte adskillige at få kontakt med Hotels.com, men vi kunne ikke komme igennem deres telefonsluse. Vi blev ved med at få svaret, at det reservationsnummer, vi angav, ikke fandtes. Det er også helt uacceptabelt, at man i en nødsituation ikke altid kan få fat på Hotels.com. Vi har været kunder i firmaet i mange år, og det er første gang, vi har haft brug for hjælp - som vi så ikke kunne få.

Prisvärt och lugnt med härlig utsikt!

Prisvärt med härlig utsikt. Små funktionella rum med bra kostnadsfri air condition. Rena rum som städas varje dag, handdukar skiftas var tredje dag och strandhandukar hämtar man i receprtionen var dag om man så vill. Bra kostnadsfritt WiFi, poolen har en vacker utsikt. Om man inte vill äta vid poolbaren så intill (2 min gång) så ligger där en trevlig liten taverna med grekiska köket på menyn, precis vid en liten vacker strand i en liten vik med kristallklart vatten.

Hyggelig hotell med fin beliggenhet

Koselig og hyggelig hotell med rolig beliggenhet. Fint basseng og ikke noe stress med solsenger, alltid ledig. Hyggelig bassengbar med servering hele dagen. Liten strand rett ved hotellet. Fine leiligheter i små lave hus. Eneste problem var at det var aircondition bare i det ene rommet slik at det ble for varmt på det andre soverommet. Der stod en manuell vifte, Vi leide bil på flyplassen som vi brukte til å dra rundt på øya. Flere strender i nærheten. Fantastisk solnedgang.Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Bella vacanza fatela senz'altro!! Posti meravigliosi da visitare e Zorbas è la base ideale. Si può andare a Chania in 20 min e visitare Elafonisi e Balos in un'ora e mezza circa. Vicino spiagge da raggiungere a piedi e ristoranti con ottima cucina (da non perdere Sunset)

Friendly and helpful staff at front desk. Room was fine with a hard bed. No coffee maker though. Nice view of gardens and out to the sea. Dinner was pretty good for the second night of operation but the view from the deck made up for it.

Great stay

We stayed at the Zorbas Beach Village Hotel the last week in April and it was really great. As it was the very beginning of the 'holiday season', the hotel was quiet and very pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a two bedroom apartment which was great; a kingsize bed in the open plan front room and two single beds in the back room. We had a terrace at the front and back, both with a table and chairs, so we could always catch the sun! The apartment had a small kitchenette which was more than adequate with a microwave and two-ring hot plate for cooking (pans, basic utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery provided). Towels were provided and were changed at least once during our stay. We ate breakfast at the hotel a few mornings - this was really good value at 8 euros as there is lots of choice and it's seemingly unlimited. We were able to order the breakfast items we wanted, but maybe there is a breakfast buffet when the tourist season picks up, as there was a table with a buffet set up that we didn't see used during our stay. The food at the hotel (we only tried evening meals, not lunch) was ok, and there is also a taverna next door (Thanasis) that was worth a visit. The best place we ate by a mile was the Sunset Taverna right on Stavros Beach - it's a short walk (maybe 20 mins) from the hotel and serves really delicious food. Everything was clean and well looked after.
