Villa Ampelaki sits on 1,500 square meters of beautifully landscaped land, and features a luxury heated pool, five spacious bedrooms, an outdoor barbecue area, mini basketball court, dining veranda, and a multitude of stand-alone lounging and dining areas.
The interior, which is comprised of two levels features all the luxury amenities you expect from a five star stay such as this.
The ground floor consists of an open plan living and banquet space with designer furniture, premium art collection and a twelve-person banquet table - perfect for big group meals. Off the main living space you will find a fully-loaded kitchen with American-style fridge along with three spacious bedrooms.
With all rooms featuring private verandas, the master bedroom boasts an en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
Slide open the floor-to-ceiling glass doors to access the private dining veranda. Eat al fresco under shade or follow the gentle sloping steps to access the heated swimming pool.
Here you can lounge in any of three standalone areas as you soak up the sun. The pool can be heated to any temperature you like, and features a secondary paddle pool for younger guests.
The lower level of the villa consists of a fully equipped home gym, a game room with full size table-tennis table and games consoles along with two more bedrooms, two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite, and a private lounge.
You can access the back area of the villa through the game room's large sliding doors. Here you will find an outdoor covered banquet space alongside a bespoke barbecue area and wood-fired oven.
The young guests can enjoy the swing set or basketball court while the rest of the group relaxes in either of the manicured private gardens.
Your group will have private access to the entire villa and its grounds.
Korakies is a residential area of the Akrotiri Peninsular but is only a 10-minute drive from Chania city centre. Korakies is the perfect location for exploring the island. It has good and easy connections to the national road and the rest of the island.
Although it is recommended to get around by car on the Akrotiri peninsular it is also possible through taxi or transfer. If you would like any assistance with this, we’d be happy to help.
Whether you’d like to go exploring by yourselves or in a chauffeured transfer, there are many activities to do on the Akrotiri peninsular as well as all over the island of Crete. There are many breath-taking beaches to see, for example; Elafonisi; Balos; Falasarna; Prevali; Paleochora; Seitan Limani; and many more. There are also hiking/exploring/cultural activities to do such as Samaria Gorge; Agia Irini Gorge; Agia Triada-Katholiko Monastery Trail; Zeus’ cave; Knossos.
The heated pool at Villa Ampelaki is charged at an additional €450 per week. Please inform us at least one week in advance if you require the pool to be heated. This will allow the water to reach the desired temperature so you can jump in as soon as you arrive!
Each guest will receive a pair of spa slippers on arrival!
The Rooms
As going through a corridor on the ground floor, there are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, closet room, 32” HDTV and en-suite bathroom with shower. The rest of 2 bedrooms have a king bed and 2 single beds respectively. Additionally there is one more bathroom with bath and shower and one toilet in the same area.
All rooms feature a/c units.
All beds have two pillows for your sleeping preference - one firm, one soft.
The Location
Korakies is a region on the Akrotiri peninsular 8km from Chania International Airport, 8km from Chania city centre and 8km from the port of Souda. It is a quiet residential area of Akrotiri with many houses and villas. Korakies is also in the region of Kounoupidiana and 3km from the Polytechnical University of Crete.
There are many historic monuments and buildings within the region of Akrotiri and the Monastery of Korakies being one of the most famous. The monastery is believed to have been founded after the fall of Constantinople in 1453 and has a deep history. The Monastery of Agios Ioannis Prodromos is located just a short walk from the villa.
Just a 5-minute drive away you’ll have access to pharmacies, supermarkets and tavernas outside the University. The main supermarkets of Xalkiadakis and SYNKA are a 5-minute drive away from the villa or Lidl is a 7-minute drive away closer to the city centre of Chania.
