"Excellent historic hotel in a picturesque location right on the lake. From a view standpoint, splurging for the lake-view room is worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the area is beautiful and walkable. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Huge bonus, right across the street from the train station. I have a couple of complaints and I have these same complaints with every one of these older, historic hotels. They seem to be lacking in soundproofing and transfer noise from adjacent or above rooms. Second, every balcony hotel in Europe seems to allow smoking. This is unfair to those of us who don't smoke. I don't want to smell or hear people in the adjoining rooms. I also DO want to enjoy my balcony. I'm sure there's some sort of a calculation and because most Europeans smoke, they allow it. I have yet to be at a balcony hotel that didn't allow smoking and it's annoying. Can't even open the windows if the balcony next to you or below you is smoking. It just comes right in the room. Completely unfair."

"Beautiful surroundings and views. Nice restaurant facility with excellent food. Good parking space. Bathroom is a little bit on the small side but looks updated. Overall good value."

It is conveniently located next to the Montreux train station, within walking distance of restaurants, the hotel was comfortable and the staff was friendly and very helpful. "This was a great gem in Chamonix area. Away from the hustle of the center of the town but easy access to town and to fabulous hiking in the area. The spa area with free access was amazing. The staff there especially Suzana with her friendliness and knowledge of the area was amazing. Carla & Ivoy were super helpful and great to deal with. Loved would stay there again. Incredible and a great price. They offer laundry room as well. Thanks to everyone there "

"Great breakfast, helpful staff. Room is bright and spacious. There is spacious dining room and hotel sitting area. Outside dining overlooking the water. Step outside the door and walk by the Lakeside for miles. Very nice hotel, we love it here."
