"The first room we got assigned had no towels, a dirty shower and missed pillow cases. The reception said that housekeeping couldn’t come back to clean and we were assigned another room. It appeared that it was cleaned but the airconditioning wasn’t working in this room. This property is old, not maintained (leaking air conditioning in the hallways) or cleaned (dirty carpets) . "Really gorgeous hotel, grounds are very pretty and well kept. Staff were incredibly helpful. The only thing that was missing was there wasn’t a restaurant on site for evening meals. But there was a lovely snack menu and Deauville was 10 mins drive away and has plenty of restaurants. Would highly recommend. "

The pool staff was a bit aloof and didnt start the sauna's on time and I had to ask and they forgot to turn one of them on , (which wouldnt have mattered but I only had an hour and it was the reason I came) It is quite far from the train station and quite a pricey uber/ cab drive (38 euros from trouville station) but it is well worth it for the spa vibe and the beautiful floral decor around the hotel. "There were 10 of us. Dining area was large and accommodating. Lounge area only had enough seating for 7. Not enough lounges and cushions in the garden area. Indoor pool was the most used area, great for the kids. Very quiet and peaceful."

"This is in a retirement complex within walking distance (1km) of the centre of Lisieux. The room we had was good, with a kitchen with Hob and microwave and a dining area. At the weekend the access to the building is by key code and the reception is not manned all the time. Very quiet. The set up seems quite surreal, but actually works well."

"Clean comfortable bed. Nice hot shower. Elevator to 3rd floor. Very accommodating staff. However coming back at night is a little disconcerting since everything is dark. People in another room screaming so difficult to sleep. Breakfast was perfect. Location was perfect. Carpet not so clean but otherwise room was very nice. "

Blissfully, beautiful location

"A wonderful, peaceful location with beautiful gardens. Perfect for easy access to charming local towns, villages and the beautiful Normandy coastline. The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable (especially the bed) with everything we needed. David and Tricia were the perfect hosts - on hand to share their extensive local knowledge and offer plenty of excellent recommendations of where to eat and visit. Thank you both for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable - we would love to return in the future."
