This is an older motel. Room was nice. We stayed there when it was pretty cold, and the heater did a great job of warming the room but was very loud. The mattresses on the beds are quite old. Not very comfortable. Everything was clean. An OK place to stay for a night, but keep expectations on the lower side.

Solo travelers use caution
I would not recommend this hotel. The room did not have any kind of lock besides the door knob. Also, the room keys were just behind the counter and the attendant was upstairs. I was traveling alone and felt very uncomfortable. Also, had to switch rooms because original room was not cleaned.

I really liked this place, comfortable beds, clean rooms and shower. There was no coffee maker however, and I need my coffee in the morning! Challis is a quiet town and this hotel was perfect for our one-night stay.

Great place to stay
I really like non-major chain hotels. They tend to be cleaner and more inviting. The place is old but kept up and clean corner to corner. I will highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again!

Great stay
The front desk staff was very helpful and kind and she spaced the hotel guests almost like a checkerboard so we had no one above or below or beside us, and that made for a very quiet stay. I don’t know why more hotels don’t do this. Of course, if it was a busy night, she wouldn’t have been able to space us so much but we greatly appreciated the quiet stay. This hotel is dated and in need of some repairs (room 210 had two broken lamps and broken window pane), but it was clean and comfortable. Bottom line, we would stay here again. If you need anything for your stay visit the Dollar General it’s incredibly clean and the staff are friendly.

Such a good place! I appreciate the 'old -school' vibe. It felt very friendly and familiar. And the rooms are very clean and up to date. A perfect blend of the old road-trip memories and modern convenience!
