"Bon rapport qualité/prix. Propriétaire agréable, cependant la propreté du logement n'était pas optimale et la piscine était vraiment froide alors que c'était la raison principale de notre réservation, mais nous nous y sommes baignés au début seulement et pour la suite nous sommes allés à la plage car l'océan nous semblait moins froid. Dommage. Sinon on a bien profité du court de tennis en famille, et l'environnement est très calme. "

"My family had a wonderful stay. The gite is thoughtfully designed and very well equipped. The furnishings are up-to-date and everything works well. The beds are comfortable. "The property was just what we wanted as a base in La Flotte to discover Ile de Re. It was clean, quiet and in easy reach of the town and harbour. Most other villages were easily reached on cycles hired from our excellent host Jean Michel. Merci beaucoup!!"

"There were 12 of us in total for our stay, adults and young children. Emeline managed to find 3 cots, highchairs/booster seats and baby baths for us which really helped with our young children. We had a lovely time at the house Frederick and Emeline were very friendly and helpful, they live on site but they are not intrusive. Although our group was split over 2 different houses the outside table was large enough for us all to eat together. The best thing was the pool area which was fantastic...

"Well presented property, conveniently located for the town and the bus from the airport. If I have one suggestion, it would be to include some kitchen basics - bin liners, washing up liquid and a couple cloths. These have all been at other similar properties. Other than that everything was very good."

"Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und ruhige Woche im Appartement. Alles war wie beschrieben. Der Pool war immer verfügbar und hatte eine gute Wasserqualität. Leider konnte ich den Host nach unserem Verlassen nicht mehr erreichen. Ich hatte etwas Werthaltiges in der Unterkunft vergessen. Es wäre schön und wichtig, bitte noch einmal Kontakt aufzunehmen."

The owners are lovely, great communication and we all appreciated the biscuits on our arrival. The gite is very well equipped, everything you can think of is there and more. "We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was a bit surprised because the room picture was of twin beds with space between, but it was made up as a double. I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard. The wall cupboards weee tricky for me, as I’m only 5’1” tall!! Fortunately my son is 6’ tall and was willing to reach things...

"In a quiet area within easy walking of city centre, beaches, local shops. Could have been better if there was a bit more information about getting around eg buses, ferries, bikes etc. Staff always polite. "

Great hotel

"Lovely hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. Parking available on site is a must, at an extra cost, but is well worth the charge. Breakfast was plentiful and very busy but we always managed to get a good table. The staff were all extremely efficient and although their English was better than our French, they let us persevere in French, at our request. Lots of good restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Really can’t fault this hotel. We would definitely book again on future visits. "
