"Required an overnight stay on way to the French Alps. Our room to the rear of the property was spacious clean and tidy. The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful and provided a good continental breakfast."

"We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel de France. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from the train station and in the city centre. You have plenty of bakeries and shops around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We actually slept like babies as the bedding was so comfortable! We booked the breakfast too, which was very good. It had a lot of local products. The only area of improvement I would recommend to the hotel would be to upgrade their amenities for a more 'modern' style. Whilst we loved our stay there, this would be great to help them compete with the other local hotel we almost booked as it seemed newer. Other than that, highly recommend this place for your stopover in the region!"

"We had an amazing 2 nights stay in this property. Sebastien was such a great and accommodating host. He greeted us on arrival to give us a tour the home and met us at the house during our check out. We even got to meet his adorable dog during our check out. He was also very easy to contact if we had any questions. The house is gorgeous inside and outside. The dining and living rooms were very large and accommodated 10 people easily. The garden area is huge with lots of outdoor seating and dining space.The pool is a great size. The house comes with a wine cellar with a lot of wines to choose from. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also a great size and decorated so nicely. The local area is lovely and quiet, with local amenities like shops being only a few minutes drive away. We will definitely be staying again. "

"Lovely place to stop over on the way home, pool a good size and lovely to swim in, lots of sun beds. Only dropped a star as the bathrooms were very tiny (my husband is nearly 2m) and dated, also it was a challenge to carry 3 very heavy cases to the room without a lift. We had a family room which was in the chateau and was spacious with plenty of storage etc. Kids enjoyed it! Area was beautiful, staff very helpful and friendly. Would use again. "
