"We loved our stay at Quattro Castella! The property was exactly as described and so much more. It was peaceful and relaxing and perfect after a day of exploring the area. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed for preparing our meals. We loved the living room area and spent our evenings talking about our day and planning the next. We used the info provided by our host to plan our trips and meals. Such a perfect stay. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Had a wonderful stay at the villa in Castiglione di Garfagnana. The villa is spacious, very clean, relaxing, and has quite a few activities to do on the property. The views overlooking the property were fantastic and the pool was great. There's also a few small football goals, darts, bocce, volleyball, and more. Communication with the owner was very good as well whenever we needed him and definitely recommend going to Il Pozzo for dinner in town one night. We couldn't walk into town unfortunately as the bridge built by the owners across the river had been taken away by the rain, but it's only a 10 minute drive. A few things to consider for people looking to stay here: - Do NOT use Google Maps go to the latitude/longitude coordinates given by Vrbo to get to the property. This leads to a separate private property and the owners messaged us a meeting point at the entrance point of the track to take us to the property. - The off road track to the villa (~700 meters) can be very bumpy and slippery after rain."

"A spacious property with loads of outdoor space (and pool). We were very comfortable here and could easily have stayed longer. The host, Massimo, is very friendly and most generous. We thought the village was charming and Castelnuovo is well worth a visit. "

"We loved our stay at the villa. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the pool. The hosts were helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive. The area has recently been a center of attention on BBC with Amanda Holden, Rob Rinder and Clive Myrie. However, if you don't like heights and hairpin bends up a mountainside, this might not be the villa for you."

"Very traditional Tuscan property, lovely neighbourhood, next door neighbour nice,friendly and helpful coffee shop. Home restaurant lovely and a great experience, roads are a bit windy and narrow in places, car is essential to visit Places. Church bells take a bit of getting used to."
