"We had a terrific week in Gonzalo & Ana's villa. It had everything we needed, plus a excellent pool in the garden. Gonzalo & Ana were very welcoming when they met us and the property was very clean and well equipped. It's a great base for exploring the Northern coast of Spain. "Rober and his wife are very kind and supportive and gave us a lot of hints for locations to visit. The perfectly clean house provides everything we needed during 9 days for a comfortable stay, especially as we prepared our own meals. We enjoyed to drink a fresh lemon from the garden and sit in front of the house, looking at the splendid mountain panorama in front of us. "Funny how life works sometimes. We had our eye on a place closer to Santander, with a view of the bay, but unusual payment issues with that prospective host prevented the rental from going through. So, we looked further, and thank goodness we did, as we ended up with Plan B -- this perfect property -- as it was one of the most enjoyable stays we have ever had, now spanning over 6 different trips to various places in Europe over the past 18 years. 1.
