The village of St Julien, located in the heart of Black Périgord, is appreciated for its calm, its picturesque charm and the proximity of the Dordogne (500m from the house).
The house 'La Pauline', located in the center of the golden triangle of the Dordogne valley, combines modernism and tradition. Completely restored in the style of Périgord, stones and visible beams it includes all the modern comfort and is decorated with care. The furniture is in harmony with the style of the house.
Close to five castles, CASTELNAUD, BEYNAC, FAYRAC, MARQUAYSSAC and the MILANDES, you can also discover the country house of DOMME, (5 km) and the medieval town of SARLAT, (15 km).
Périgord is also the cradle of prehistory. You can visit many caves including LASCAUX and prehistoric sites exciting. You will appreciate during your stay the local gastronomy: foie gras, truffles, Monbazillac ...

Wonderful stay in a beautiful house in a fantastic location
Michele’s house is beautifully traditional with comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. We loved seeing the hot air balloons pass over most mornings and evenings, there are great bike rides from the door and we enjoyed dipping in the refreshing Dordogne a short walk away. A fantastic area for holidays as there’s so much to see and do. And Cenac village has a great supermarket, irresistible boulangerie / patisserie and a weekly food market. We can also recommend Sawadee, the Thai restaurant. Michele was very welcoming and available by phone if needed.

Haus mit Charme
Das Haus hat viel Charme. Es ist liebevoll mit passenden Möbeln ausgestattet und hat doch alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Es ist ruhig gelegen in einem mittelalterlichen Dorf. In der Umgebung gibt es viele attraktive Ausflugsziele. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

Wir hatten eine sehr schönen Wander Urlaub, die Unterkunft ist ideal für Ausflüge in der Umgebung.
Einfach nett und gemütlich, mit seinen vielen Winkeln der geschützten Terrasse und der ruhigen Lage haben wir uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette charmante maison, dans un petit village paisible. Proche d'une plage de galets avec vue sur un des plus beau village de France. D'autres villages pittoresques se trouvent à proximité + des ballades en Kanoë. Propriétaire très accueillant. On vous le recommande !

Fantastisch vakantieverblijf!
De woning heeft alles wat een vakantieganger kan wensen, het is schoon, ruim, gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. We vonden het enig om zo midden in een dorpje te wonen, in alle rust en in een prachtige omgeving. Misschien een klein minpuntje is de lengte van de bedden, als middellange Nederlanders kwamen we toch echt een stukje te kort. Maar voor de rest is dit charmante huis écht een driedubbele aanrader! Wij hebben ervan genoten.

Beautiful quiet location but surrounded by family activities
In a quiet commune in a loop in the river this property is a beautifully restored and cool property in amongst some of the Dordogne’s most Popular bastides. The house is well equipped and close to a great swimming spot. We also had easy access to cycling and canoeing hire, as well as some great food outlets for us to enjoy cooking local produce.

très beau séjour
Propriété typique de la région située au calme dans un magnifique cadre (tenir compte: salon au RDC, Cuisine et chambres à l'étage avec quelques marches entre cuisine et chambres et marches sur la terrasse.). Accueil chaleureux. Balade à partir du gîte. Beaucoup de châteaux et jardins à visiter à proximité, ainsi que des grottes. Nous avons passé d'agréables vacances.

Vacances en Périgord noir
La région est magnifique. C'est un condensé de petits villages médiévaux superbement conservés ainsi que de beaux paysages vallonnés et boisés. Depuis St Julien, de nombreuses visites et activités de toutes sortes sont accessibles en parfois juste quelques minutes de voiture. La maison est charmante, confortable, aménagée avec goût. La terrasse est particulièrement agréable. Bref, nous avons passé un très beau séjour.

Ein authentisches, sehr gemütliches Domizil
Zwei wunderbare Wochen verbrachten wir in diesem für die Gegend typischen, original alten (aber modernisierten) Haus. Angesichts extremer Außentemperaturen genossen wir die angenehm kühle Luft des alten Gemäuers, auf der idyllischen Terrasse konnte man herrlich sitzen, essen, ... Das Haus liegt zwar in einem kleinen Dorf, aber man ist schnell in Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac, ... jede Menge interessanter Ziele liegen in einem Umkreis von noch nicht 20 km, d. h. man braucht ein Auto, muss aber nicht weit fahren. Die Dordogne zum Schwimmen und Kanufahren ist sogar fußläufig erreichbar. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem: nur zu empfehlen, wir würden dieses Haus wieder nehmen.

Accueil chaleureux par la propriétaire de cette Maison bien située pour ce qui est des sites touristiques à visiter mais toutefois un peu éloignée des commerces : il faut prendre la voiture même pour le pain ... La maison est fraîche lorsqu'il fait très chaud surtout la pièce du rez-de-chaussée.

Maison de caractère idéalement située
Maison de caractère avec tout le confort nécessaire. La terrasse extérieure est très agréable et des promenades sont directement accessibles depuis l'entrée de la maison. Idéalement placée pour visiter les sites touristiques du Périgord: châteaux, jardins, et villages typiques à moins d'un quart-d'heure de route, ce qui est très appréciable en période touristique.

Séjour remarquable
Nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables. Les enfants étaient heureux des activités toutes proches de la maison (visite des châteaux, grottes, canoë et plages au bord de la Dordogne...). Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et nous ont fourni pas mal de renseignements sur les choses à faire et à voir à proximité. La maison est fraîche lorsqu'il fait très chaud (ce qui est bien agréable). Elle est très bien équipée, tenue et très propre. Nous avons profité de la terrasse et de son barbecue lors de nos repas le soir au calme. Merci pour ce très bon séjour. Nous conseillons donc vivement cette location.

Très jolie maison dans un village typé et plein de charme. Le descriptif de l'annonce correspondait bien à la réalité. Accueil chaleureux par la propriétaire et maison très propre et bien entretenue. Bons conseils prodigués: peut-être un peu plus de documentation à mettre à disposition des touristes de passage. Cuisine très bien équipée et qui permet de cuisiner agréablement et de recevoir!
