"Beautiful lodge just outside San Pedro. Taxis are about £5 and reception will call for you, restaurants are more than happy to arrange a return. It is away from the bustle of San Pedro and very peaceful. Staff are brilliant. We had a standard room, there was sufficient space, it was spotlessly clean, well equipped and well presented, we were very impressed. "Very friendly staff, made us feel at home. We stayed in one of the new house rooms, comfortable and with a nice terrace. They have 2 pools and plentynof public space in any of the 2 main houses, where you have tea/coffee/juices/water available to you and even kitchen and fridge available to guests. Breakfast with plenty of choices offered from early to 11pm and they can cook eggs for you. Quiet street around 20 kins walk to town. "The hotel was nice. Unfortunately we got a dark room without much of natural light. The property owner offered to move us to a room with a window but we did not want to move for the remaining of our stay … just two more nights. Our room could use a little bit of upkeep. Place is built of adobe and some parts are peeling a bit. The room was comfortable and spacey and staff were nice and accommodating. Location is great, within walking distance to downtown to shops and dining. "

"Hostal San Pedro is a nice place, I plan on returning early next year. The owners are very friendly, the property is kept clean, it's a secure and safe place. The shared kitchen has everything one needs to cook, the property has some common areas to relax or eat in. I appreciated that our room had a small refrigerator. Everything is within walking distance - less than 5 minutes to the bus station, 10 minutes from the main area where all the travel agencies are. "

"I did not stay here. Room was hot, no hot water Restaurant was not operating. Receptionist agreed room were not acceptable and no charge would be made. We went elsewhere. But charges were made anyway"

"If you have a car, you cannot get it cheaper for the quality in San Pedro, which is notoriously expensive for the mediocre quality of accommodations. It is quiet, spacious and clean, abd has a reasonably well equipped kitchen. The two rooms, bathroom, and kitchen all lead outside to rhe porch, which can be uncomfortable in winter (it gets cold at night). Calm and new!

"We stayed in the new Refugio (to be mentioned when organising transport to excursions and the airport). A bit away from the busy centre, with a beautiful view of the volcanoes. All day soft drinks available at reception including a professional coffee machine. Facilities new, super clean, highly professional staff. The bed was huge and the bathroom, especially the shower excellent."

"Perfect place to stay. It's only a short drive from San Pedro with restaurants and shops. Bus tours picked us up from the hostel. Lovely big shared kitchen which was always clean and tidy. Lovely pool and plenty of seating area around. We stayed for 6 nights and loved it."
