"So much was excellent. The value for money is spot on and even though the restaurant is pricey for Portugal, it's still very good value. Breakfast was far more than we'd expected, especially after some poor offerings elsewhere. "Stunning location and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Had some problems finding it as signs to Pousada were poor, and no directions available. Parking is limited at hotel, although there is sufficient within walking distance. Steep slopes and steps to hotel itself, with no vehicle access, so you will need to carry your luggage some distance, although staff were happy to help. Once in the hotel however, the rooms, restaurant and support were excellent. Well worth a visit for the view...

"This is a lovely small hotel to stay in the walled village. You can park right in front which is a huge plus. We booked a triple room and it was spacious. I think the others are on the small side. Everything was spotless! Comfy bed with soft sheets. Our room was cold and it turned out our heat didn't work, but there were balnkets in the closet and that did the trick. Had a bowl of the traditional tomato soup for dinner and it was hearty and delicious!"

"The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Castelo de Vide. The building is dated but everything is very clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was very basic. Few electrical outlets, no cupboards or drawers for our clothes and poor lighting, but the heating worked and the shower was wonderful. The breakfast served was outstanding. This hotel is good value for the money."

"The hotel it's reasonable priced. However on the bedroom we stayed I think was 7 the sink had a big crack. The shower door was unhinged and seem quite dangerous. The reason I would give a 3* was due a fridge as been diabetic was a bonus and also customer service otherwise would be a 2*. Pool and generic communal areas were dirty. Air con pipe drips water to the glass in front which looks quite bad. Yes it's April but the weather was 30degrees plus so should be clean. Breakfast no hot food even...

"Without doubt the worst hostel I have stayed in in Europe. Can't check in before 18:00. Rules for everything. Access during the day is difficult as the door is locked. Access is difficult due to the steep staircase. Shared toilet bathrooms are like you experienced at school, maybe worse. Staff treat you like a 13 year old school kid. Don't touch the microwave! No facilities for storing or preparing your own food. Sleep on a rock hard single mattress covered in plastic. Tv doesn't work or staff...

"Unfortunately, due to the weather we did not get to venture away from the hotel but the map shows it being close to points of interest. The hotel itself was very clean, modern and the room was very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both very good with plenty of options."
