The Beach Hutch was a very nice cozy cottage on a lake Huron in Cedarville Michigan.
The Beach Hutch cottage was all we expected it to be. Michelle and John made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was cozy and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunrise each morning on the screen in front porch each morning. Great place to stay.

Perfect pick for our stay in the UP!
We spent a full week at The Cedar Hutch and it was such a great home base! Waking to the sunrise flooding through the windows, and having coffee on the porch while watching the ducks and geese come and go was so relaxing. We also enjoyed the grill and making a bonfire in the firepit. The location was perfect for all our hiking, kayaking and biking activities. Be sure to check out the Narnia trail nearby and Woods and Waters in Hessel for all your sporting equipment and activities! Only one note…the house does have air conditioning (as many do not) but it doesn’t reach the upstairs bedroom, so if you prefer to sleep in a cold room as we do, you might need to use the downstairs bedroom in warmer months. All the beds were very comfy with soft linens. Also, did I mention how dang cute it is? They really put thought into the design. And I know I’m on vaca and shouldn’t, but I enjoy having a nice TV that’s easy to navigate! Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin, amazing stay!
The cabin was delightful. Very clean, comfortable beds, well equipped with a great layout. The management company was very helpful and easy to communicate with. One big plus that we didn’t know about until we got there was there’s a second fridge. In the pictures there’s a small fridge and I was worried about it having enough room for families needs but they have a second full sized fridge as well. Cedarville is a wonderful centralized location to a lot of activities. We went both south and north and visited a couple of the beautiful beaches nearby. Overall, we had an excellent time and would come back again.

Idyllic lake side cabin!
We rented this cabin for 5 days in May during the Aldo Leopold festival. It was the perfect location to the school house in Hessel and all of the trail heads for classes. The view of Lake Huron is unparalleled along with the huge number of spring migratory birds. There are fantastic kayaks to use. The cabin itself is decorated perfectly for the location. There was nothing we needed during our stay that wasn’t already in the home. The king size bed was very comfortable. We BBQ’ed on the Weber grill as we birdied! This morning I watched the sunrise over Lake Huron while sipping hot coffee!
